Why is NQ "generally not recommended" for Sniper?

Some direct quotes from actual Apex Investing members:

After enough days of comments/questions like this, you too would probably recommend people learning Sniper not try to trade it on NQ.

And those are just a few direct quotes from people who had the good sense to actually ask.

There could be a whole other list of comments filled with exclamation points complaining about how NinjaTrader, Apex Trade Copier, Apex Sniper, Rithmic, Tradovate, Apex Trader Funding, [Anything else they can think of to blame]...“missed my profit target and took me out!!!” or “entered me the wrong way!!!”

It is extremely common for people to have no idea what futures even are, how orders work, and what exactly is taking place (i.e. what they're even doing) when they make a trade... and still put money in and start pressing buttons. And then when something doesn't go their way, they start freaking out and claiming something is broken.

Almost always the only thing that's broken is the mentality that a person could jump into one of the most complex fields on the planet, with almost no knowledge about it, expect to make money, and conclude that if things don't go according to that plan, it's the fault of someone or something else.

Exception

NQ is tradable if you know what you're doing, and more importantly, when to not be trying to trade it. Hence the word “generally not recommended” and all the caveats included in “The Way.” It explicitly mentions “It can be tradable during slower times, especially during Summer months.”

Lori has been trading for over a decade and helped to literally develop a lot of what makes up the Apex trading systems. Greg is the guy who literally programmed the Apex toolkit/indicators used in Sniper.

It would be safe to say they know what they're doing, hence how they end up taking trades on NQ sometimes.

But ultimately, anyone can certainly trade however they want. It's your money. Recommendations are just that...recommendations... based on a lot of experience with Apex systems, trading in general, and interacting with (and being witness to the experiences of) new traders.

This is all intended to help you.
