RFC-85

by Darius Kazemi, March 26 2019

In 2019 I'm reading one RFC a day in chronological order starting from the very first one. More on this project here. There is a table of contents for all my RFC posts.

Quarterly meetings

RFC-85 is titled “Network Working Group Meeting.” (with the period). It's authored by Steve Crocker and dated December 28th, 1970.

The technical content

The group has decided to hold Network Working Group meetings every three months. In the spring and fall, these meetings will be at the Spring/Fall Joint Computer Conference. In winter and summer, the meetings will be at sites where it makes sense to promote exposure of the project.

The winter meeting will be at University of Illinois. The note concludes with a promise that the upcoming meeting will be more organized than previous meetings.
