" - আপনাদের পদ্ধতিটাই ভুল। প্রচলিত গণতান্ত্রিক নিয়ম বাদ দিয়ে আপনারা ক্ষমতা দখল করতে চাচ্ছেন। - প্রচলিত পদ্ধতিতে রাজনীতি করলে আমাদের সরকার গঠনের কোন নিশ্চয়তা থাকবে না। কিন্তু সশস্ত্র সংগ্রাম করলে ক্ষমতা দখলের একটা নিশ্চয়তা থাকবে। - আপনাদের এই প্রস্তুতি দিয়ে কখনই ক্ষমতা দখল করতে পারবেন না। - তুমি আমাদের প্রস্তুতির কিছুই দেখনি। বড় হুজুর এলে দেখবা। তখন তুমি নিজেই আমার মতো মুজাহিদ হবা। বদর আলির সঙ্গে তর্ক করা বৃথা। বরং ওদের সঙ্গে স্বাভাবিক আচরণ করে এই স্থান থেকে পালানোর সুযোগ খোঁজা বুদ্ধিমানের কাজ হবে। ভারতের প্রথম প্রধানমন্ত্রী পণ্ডিত জওহরলাল নেহেরু যখন জেলখানায় ছিলেন, তখন তিনি অবসর সময়ে লেখালেখি করতেন। কিন্তু বাকি সময় অন্যান্য কয়েদিদের সঙ্গে জেলখানার বাগানে কাজ করতেন। সেই সময়টাতেই জেলে অবস্হান করে লিখেছিলেন তিনির অসাধারণ গ্রন্থ, "দ্য ডিসকভারি অব ইন্ডিয়া" ও "বিশ্ব ইতিহাস প্রসঙ্গে"। নেহেরু ছিলেন ভারতের স্বাধীনতার অন্যতম নেতা। অথচ তিনি জেলখানায় জ্ঞানচর্চার পাশাপাশি কাজ করেছেন। কেননা তিনি বুঝেছিলেন, কারাগারে অবস্থান করে বৃটিশ বিরোধী কাজ করলে অন্যান্য বিপ্লবীদের মতো তাকেও হত্যা করা হবে। তাই নিজের জীবন বাঁচাতে তিনি অন্যান্য কয়েদিদের মতো কাজ করেছেন। তেমনি আজ আমি ঘটনাচক্রে যমুনার বালুচরে জঙ্গিদের হাতে বন্দি। ওদের বিরোধিতা করলে আমার বিপদে পড়ার সম্ভাবনাই বেশি। এটা ঠিক যে, দেশের আইন বাহিনী জানলে আমাদেরকে উদ্ধার করবে। কিন্তু এখন যদি জঙ্গিদের বিরোধিতা করি, তবে আমাদের ক্ষতি হলে আইন বাহিনী সেটা জানতেও পারবে না। তাই ওদের বিরোধিতা না করে শুধু আলোচনা করব। আমি বললাম, " সশস্ত্র ক্ষমতা দখলের প্রক্রিয়াটাই তো এক ধরণের অপরাধ। অথচ আপনারা সেটাই করতে চাচ্ছেন। " বদর আলি বলল, " তোমার কাছে অপরাধ। কিন্তু আমার কাছে না। ১৯৭১ সালে আমরা অস্ত্র দিয়েই ক্ষমতা দখল করেছিলাম। " - সেটা তো ছিল ভিনদেশি পাকিস্তানি শাসকদের বিরুদ্ধে বাংলাদেশের নির্যাতিত মানুষের যুদ্ধ। কিন্তু আপনারা তো নিজেদের দেশের সরকারকে অস্ত্র দিয়ে উৎখাত করতে চাচ্ছেন। - সেটা ঠিক। কিন্তু ফরাসি বিপ্লব, রুশ বিপ্লব, মাও সে তুংয়ের বিপ্লব, ইরানের বিপ্লব প্রভৃতিতেও নিজেদের দেশের সরকার উৎখাত করে ক্ষমতা দখল করা হয়েছে। মূলত ক্ষমতা দখলের ক্ষেত্রে স্বদেশি অথবা ভিনদেশি কোন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় না। বরং ক্ষমতা দখল করাটাই আসল বিষয়। আর আমরা ক্ষমতা দখল করার পর কেউকেই হত্যা করব না। - আচ্ছা, বাংলাদেশে এত স্থান থাকা সত্ত্বেও যমুনা নদীর বালুচরে আপনারা ঘাঁটি স্থাপন করলেন কেন ? - ভৌগোলিক ও অন্যান্য সুবিধার কারণে। - কী রকম ? - আমরা চাইলে সন্দ্বীপ, হাতিয়া, মহেশখালী, ভোলা প্রভৃতি দ্বীপে ঘাঁটি স্থাপন করতে পারতাম। কিন্তু সেই সব স্থানে মানুষের সমাগম বেশি। আবার প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিস আমদানি করাও জটিল হয়। কিন্তু যমুনার এই বালুচরে মানুষের সমাগম নাই। পূর্ব দিকে টাঙ্গাইল, জামালপুর ও পশ্চিম দিকে বগুড়া, সিরাজগঞ্জ প্রভৃতি জেলা থাকায় অনায়াসেই আমরা প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিস আনতে পারি। পরে আরো কথা হবে। এখন তুমি একবালের সঙ্গে রাইফেল চালানো শিখতে যাও। বদর আলির কথা শোনে আমি একবালের সঙ্গে রাইফেল চালানো শিখতে গেলাম। তবে একবাল ছেলেটা বৈরাগী টাইপের হলেও রাইফেল চালানো শিখে নিয়েছে। সে দুনিয়ার প্রতি উদাসীন হয়ে মৃত্যুর অপেক্ষায় ছিল, অথচ রাইফেলের মতো দুনিয়ার অন্যতম ঝামেলার জিনিসটায় পারদর্শী হলো। একবাল পাঠান মূলত দুনিয়া ত্যাগ করতে গিয়ে জঙ্গিবাদে যোগ দিয়েছে। এখন নিজের অজান্তেই ভয়ঙ্কর দুনিয়াদার হয়েছে। সে চাকরির পাশাপাশি যদি ধর্মীয় কাজে নিয়োজিত থাকত, তবে সেটাই যথেষ্ট হতো। আমি আর একবাল বালুচরে হাঁটতে লাগলাম। একবাল আমাকে বলল, " বুঝলেন ভাই, আমার জ্ঞান ও অভিজ্ঞতায় আমি বুঝলাম, তাবলিগের চেয়ে জিহাদ করে স্বর্গে গমন করা বেশি সহজ। বছরের পর বছর তাবলিগ করে স্বর্গ প্রাপ্তির নিশ্চয়তা থাকে না। যেমনটা জিহাদ করে শহিদ হওয়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই স্বর্গে গমন করার নিশ্চয়তা আছে। বদর মামার সঙ্গে আমি আলোচনা করে ঠিক করেছি, যখন ক্ষমতা দখলের জন্য আমাদের জিহাদ শুরু হবে, তখন সবার আগে আমিই গুলি করা শুরু করব। " অনেক দূরে এসে একবাল কাঁধ থেকে রাইফেলটা নামিয়ে বলল, " রাইফেল চালনায় দক্ষ হতে হলে প্রথমেই দরকার মনোযোগ। নিশানা ঠিক করে মন থেকে অন্য চিন্তা বাদ দিয়ে গুলি করতে হবে। চলন্ত নিশানা হলে তো সবচেয়ে বেশি মনোযোগী হতে হবে। কিন্তু অনেক সময় স্থির নিশানাও মনোযোগের অভাবে ভুল হয়। যখন রাইফেলটা নিশানায় তাক করবেন তখন অন্য কিছু কল্পনা করবেন না। চোখের সামনে শুধু নিশানাই থাকবে। এমনকি নিশানার আশে - পাশের কোন কিছুতেও মনোযোগ দিবেন না। আর এর জন্য মন নিয়ন্ত্রণের গ্র্যাজুয়েট হওয়ার দরকার নাই। " প্রভৃতি বলার পর রাইফেলে কীভাবে গুলি ঢোকাতে হয়, গুলি আটকে গেলে কীভাবে ঠিক করতে হয়... এগুলো দেখাল। আমি বললাম, " এবার গুলি করব কোথায় ? " একবাল বলল, " একটু পরেই জলজ পাখি আর বুনো হাঁস পানিতে নামবে। তখন সেগুকেই গুলি করব। " আমি বাইনোকুলার আর একবাল রাইফেলের টেলিস্কোপ দিয়ে বহুদূরের পানিতে নজরদারি করছি। প্রায় আধা ঘণ্টা পর দেখলাম পানিতে কতগুলো বালি হাঁস নেমেছে। আমি অনুমান করে দেখলাম, বালি হাঁসগুলো দেড় কিলোমিটারের চেয়ে বেশি দূরে হবে, তবু কম হবে না। একবালের দিকে তাকিয়ে দেখলাম, সে এগুলোর দিকেই রাইফেল তাক করেছে। এত দূর থেকে বালি হাঁস গুলি করে মারতে চাচ্ছে। গতকাল বদর আলি তাদের নিশানাবাজির কথা বলেছিল। আমি চাপাবাজি মনে করেছিলাম। কিন্তু এখন প্রমাণিত হবে বদর আলির কথা কতটুকু সত্য। একবাল টেলিস্কোপ দিয়ে নিশানা করেছে আর আমিও বাইনোকুলার দিয়ে দেখছি। আচমকা একবাল গুলি করল। আমি দেখলাম, গুলি করার প্রায় দেড় সেকেন্ড পর একটা বালি হাঁসের গায়ে গুলি লাগল। আর গুলির ধাক্কায় বালি হাঁসটার দেহটা পানির উপর দিয়ে দূরে ছিঁটকে গেল। সেটা দেখে অন্য হাঁসগুলো উড়াল দিল। আমাকে অবাক করে একবাল আরেকটা গুলি করল। ততক্ষণে হাঁসগুলো পানি থেকে প্রায় দশ হাত উপরে উঠে গেছে। একবালের দ্বিতীয় গুলিটা গিয়ে লাগল উড়ন্ত বালি হাঁসগুলোর একটার গায়ে। সেটা ডিগবাজি খেয়ে কিছুটা দূরে পতিত হলো। আমি একবালের গুলি করা দেখে একেবারে চমকিত হলাম। বদর আলির কথাই সত্য প্রমাণিত হলো। এমন একজন শ্যুটার যমুনা নদীর বালুচরে পাখি মেরে বেড়ায়। অথচ চাইলে সে দেশের সেবায় নিজের এই দক্ষতাকে কাজে লাগাতে পারত। রাইফেলটা কাঁধে রেখে একবাল আমার দিকে মুচকি মুচকি হেসে বলল, " কী বুঝলেন ? আমার চেয়ে বড় শ্যুটারও আছে। চলেন হাঁসগুলো নিয়ে আসি। " আমরা হাঁসগুলোর দিকে হাঁটতে লাগলাম। হাঁটতে হাঁটতে দেখলাম, দুটো বালুচরের মাঝে নদীর স্রোতের জোর খুবই কম। তাই হাঁসগুলো পতিত হলেও ভেসে যাচ্ছে না। হাঁসগুলোর কাছে গিয়ে একবাল পিঠের ছোট ব্যাগ নামিয়ে ভাঁজ করা ধনুক বের করল। সেটাকে সেট করে একটা স্টিলের রড বের করল। রডের এক প্রান্তে ধরে টান দিতেই সেটা তীরে পরিণত হলো। বুঝলাম এটা ভাঁজ করা তীর। তীরের গোড়ায় চিকন অথচ খুবই মজবুত সুতো বড়শির মতো বাঁধল। এরপর ধনুকে তীর লাগিয়ে নিক্ষেপ করল। তীরটা গিয়ে একটা হাঁসের শরীরে বিধল। সুতো ধরে টেনে টেনে হাঁসটাকে কাছে এনে তীরটা খুলল। এর পর দ্বিতীয় হাঁসটাকেও এভাবে আনল। একবাল সারাদিন ঘুরে চারটা হাঁস আর তিনটা সারস পাখি মারল। ঘাঁটিতে ফেরার সময় নদীর পারে ডিঙ্গি নৌকায় বসা একটা লোককে দেখে একবাল বলল, " চাচা, কেউ কি এদিকে আসতে চেয়েছিল ? " লোকটা বলল, " ডিঙ্গি নৌকায় করে দুজন এদিকে আসছিল মাছ ধরার জন্য। আমি ওদেরকে পথ ভুলিয়ে অন্যদিকে প্রেরণ করেছি। আমরা থাকতে অচেনা কেউই এদিকে আসতে পারবে না। যদি আসতে চায়, তাহলে পথ ভুলিয়ে অন্যদিকেই প্রেরণ করব। " ঘাঁটিতে আসতে আসতে একবাল বলল, " আমাদের ঘাঁটির চতুর্দিকে এমন আরো লোক আছে। তাদের কাজই হচ্ছে, অচেনা কেউ যদি ভুল করে অথবা ইচ্ছে করে এদিকে আসে, তবে তাদেরকে পথ ভুলিয়ে অন্যদিকে প্রেরণ করা। " পড়ন্ত বিকেলে ঘাঁটিতে ফিরে দেখলাম, অন্যরাও বুনো পাখি আর হাঁস মেরে এনেছে। গুণে দেখলাম হাঁসসহ অন্যান্য পাখি মোট পঞ্চাশটা। আমি বদর আলিকে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, " এত হাঁস কারা খায় ? " বদর আলি মুচকি মুচকি হেসে বলল, " বড় হুজুর এলে জানতে পারবা, এত হাঁস কারা খায় ?
