Diversity talks are important. Ok. Even if you love them, does an explicitly engineering conference need to have 7 diversity talks? And does “diversity talk” give a free pass to bypass presentation quality?

Do 50% of the speakers really need to be junior developers at all times talking about life as a junior developer. There are already junior development focused conferences and plenty of meet ups.

Can at least some conferences have anmore technical and professional requirement?

Is it really so horrible to spend thousands of dollars to attend a technical conference and expect more technical presentations overall? If it was a once odd mistake of wrong conference then perhaps, but it’s becoming increasingly harder to find.
