Please, don't leave me too. – 록련

Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, 01.24 a.m.

Suryeon was holding her wine glass tightly. She was trying to stop drinking. She had been drinking three glasses of wine. However, her mind still felt chaotic. She was not the type of person who likes to drink, but this time, she didn't know how to get rid of the pain and anxiety that she was feeling at the moment.

After drinking her fourth glass of wine, Suryeon got up from the sofa. With unsteady steps due to the effects of alcohol, she walked towards the dressing room. Her eyes were drawn to the wig, dentures, and glasses on the small table in the dressing room corner. Those items carried a memory that never disappeared from her mind. The memory of her first encounter with her true love. It was still pictured clearly in Suryeon's eyes when she met the man whom she loves so dearly for the first time. Indeed, their first encounter was not beautiful. Their relationship started from misunderstanding and they resented each other. Suryeon can still clearly remembered how the eyes of the man who was disguised as someone else at that time looked at her with hatred. Suryeon also still remembered how she felt intimidated by the man's threats. Remembering it, Suryeon just put on a smile. “That's how i met him ...”

Then, Suryeon's gaze shifted to the photo frame that was displayed on the table. That was a photo showing the two people she really loves. That photo portrayed a girl with her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes, embraced by her older brother who was smiling happily too. Suryeon felt like a thousand knives had been stuck in her chest. Suryeon's heart hurt so much when she realized that maybe she would never see the two people she loved so dearly again. Her legs began to feel too limp to stand up. She fell down on her knees with the picture frame held tightly in her arms.

Suryeon could not hold back her sobs. “Logan ... I beg you, please don't leave me too ...” Suryeon murmured between her tears.

Logan had been nearly three weeks in a coma. The doctor said it was a miracle that he was able to survive even though nearly sixty percent of his body was burnt. He only needed to undergo a series of operations to return to normal. Since that tragedy, Suryeon often stayed at the hotel where Logan lived to let go of her longing. The living room window with the view of the city lights—the place where Logan and Suryeon used to chat—was like a safe place for her. There, she could calm herself for a moment. However, tonight, Suryeon somehow felt really pessimistic about Logan and decided to drink alone there. Even though Logan's health was improving every day, she still felt uneasy. She was afraid that Logan would really leave her for good.

Behind her strong and independent personality, Suryeon still needs someone who sincerely loves and protects her; and that's Logan. Suryeon still remembered clearly when Logan said, “I'll make you happy,” to her. Suryeon wanted Logan to succeed in keeping his promise. She kept crying while hugging Logan and seola's photo, until finally, she fell asleep in the dressing room.

The sunlight poured through the window. Suryeon fell asleep in that uncomfortable position until morning came.

Heard her cell phone ring, Suryeon woke up and hurriedly picked up the phone. She cleared her throat for a moment, “Hello?”

“Hello, is this Shim Suryeon?”

“Yes, this is she.”

“We called from the hospital...”

Suryeon who was shocked immediately stood up when she heard that. Her heart was beating so wildly. What news would she hear this time? “Y-yes, so, what happened?”

“We want to inform you that Logan lee is conscious now.”

Suryeon's eyes began to tear up. Her hand covered her mouth, unable to believe what she had just heard.

“He keeps mumbling your name, so it would be better if you see him soon. Thank you.”

The clattering sound of high heels colliding with the hospital floor could be heard clearly in the corridor. Suryeon walked as fast as possible to immediately meet her love. Her feelings were already chaotic; happy, emotional, worried—all became one in her heart. Her eyes could not stop being teary.

Suryeon arrived at the door of the room where Logan was. Slowly, she opened the door and stepped inside.

“Logan...”

Suryeon could not help crying when she met her love who was lying weakly in the hospital bed. The figure who used to protect her from danger, now laying helpless.

Hearing his name called, Logan's eyes opened, then looked deeply at his woman who was sobbing.

“Suryeon-ssi .... I'm sorry,” Logan's voice was very weak, but still could be heard by Suryeon who was crying even more.

“What do you mean by sorry... Logan... Does it hurt a lot?” Suryeon asked in panic.

“Suryeon-ssi. Calm down. I'm really okay.”

Suryeon grabbed Logan's palm. “I'm the one who should be sorry. This all happened because of me, Logan...”

“No, no. Suryeon-ssi, I said that I'll risk my life to stay next to you. I really mean it.”

Suryeon could not stop crying after hearing that. “Logan... Please...”

Logan held Suryeon's hand tighter. “In my sleep, I heard you begging not to leave you. That's why I wake up now. I want to grant your wish and keep my promise ... So please, calm down. I'll never leave you, Suryeon-ssi. “

Suryeon was surprised to hear that from Logan. She did not think that they were so attached emotionally that Logan could feel it when she begged Logan not to leave him.

Suryeon wiped her tears and smiled. “Logan ...” Suryeon stared at his man closely. “I love you... Let's overcome this together. I'll stay by your side until you fully recover.”

Logan looked back at the woman with sparkling eyes, “I love you too, Suryeon-ssi.” []
