During the pandemic the screen door sales gone up as people were staying at home and making it more livable and safe. The panic was terrifying as thousands were getting killed by the savage Corona virus.

As the sales gone up our customer support department got fanatic with superfluous inbound calls. I was then instructed by our Director Operations Steve Tristan to attend calls as well. Performing as a customer support rep I noticed that most of the complaints, confusions and dilemma about screen door is the measurement. Sometimes people don’t know how to take accurate measurement and the measurement also fluctuate due to different type of tracks. So many customer prefer to call a handyman just to take measurement and install the screen door which costs more that the screen door itself. Noticing all those issues I discussed my boss Steve Tristan if we can introduce something handy for the customers where there will not be any complaints, confusions regarding the measurement.

We came up with a solution to launch our new Adjusting Sliding Screen Door which enables customers to adjust the screen door height up to 4 inch. So lets dive in the world of adjustable sliding screen door.

Now the question is How do you install an adjustable sliding screen door or how to adjust sliding screen door height? So let’s go through the whole process of adjusting and installing an adjustable fit sliding screen door.

Installation Instructions for Height Adjustable Screen Door.

PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, RELEASE (DO NOT REMOVE) ALL FOUR EXPANDER SCREWS.

Set the screen in the door opening with the operating handle facing inside and toward the door jamb it will close against. Lift the screen into the head channel of the patio door and then set the bottom of the screen onto the steel roller track of the patio door. Maintain upward pressure on the screen so that the expander compresses enough to fit the opening. Tighten bottom expander screws upon checking the operation is proper. The top expander screws may be kept loose so that the top expander floats as the screen slides. Trim the vinyl bug sweep so it seals tight against the patio door. To cut to the desired width use the grooves as guideline. Make sure the bug sweep is not so tight so it forces the screen to bow outward away from the patio door. HANDLE STRIKE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

Position the strike flange extending up, so that when the screen is locked, the latch lever is in the downward position. Mark position sending the screen door into the frame to install the strike. Install the strike using the provided screws if its pre drilled. Drill 1/16” holes and install the strike using the provided screws if there is no hole drilled. (Note: Use the adjustment slots in the strike to move it up or down before tightening the screws.)
