No more news, no more BS

A few weeks ago I decided to free my life (again) of the unnecessary constant stream of news from all sources of media, be it television, newspapers, billboards, radio, internet, etc. Even stopping someone from verbally giving an update on what they think is “important” in the news at the moment.

My Twitter and Facebook accounts have been closed and I don't use any of the other social media accounts such as Instagram, etc.

Oh, I do have a LinkedIn account but that goes with the job, so to speak so that I can get my next job!

So, now my mornings with a coffee are now liberated.

No more “let's just see what happened yesterday in the world while I slept” or “who said this” or “who did what”. It's all irrelevant and full of bullshit based on propaganda. If it's really “that” important, then it'll reach me somehow, someday.

I grew up with a thirst for news wanting to know as much as I could about what was going on – now, it's a full-blown industry of distraction, propaganda, consumerism, fake news and human greed.

If it's pure local news then fine otherwise no matter which country you live in, it's the same BS being pushed down from the top.

Goodbye news – you won't be missed.
