AndrogynousMx

A place to store all my gay shit. Future home of my FTR novel series probably.

Hey, everyone should read “Making Stuff and Doing Things” by Kyle Bravo, it's actually a really good book if you're trapped inside with nothing to do.

My Official List of Podcast Recommendations (February 2020)

-Fiction-

Dungeons and Daddies (a DND podcast similar to “The Adventure Zone”. Four dads stumble through a mysterious portal and end up in the Forgotten Realms in search of their missing sons)

The Black Tapes (a fictional docudrama about a journalist investigating the secrets behind a well-known skeptic and his mysterious “black tape” cases)

King Falls AM (a lighter version of “Welcome to Night Vale”. Two radio hosts talk about the bizarre things happening in their small town)

The Magnus Archives (an archivist and his team chronicle all the weird events archived in the mysterious Magnus Archives. And that's all I can say without giving it all away)

Alice Isn't Dead (a female trucker searches for her missing girlfriend)

The NoSleep Podcast (a horror fiction audio drama podcast featuring a few stories per episode. The stories are fully voice-acted and feature sound effects. First, second, and third seasons can easily be skipped. There's no actual order for listening, but there is a significant boost in quality after the third season)

Wrong Station (each episode features its own self-contained spooky story. Most of them are narrated by the same guy playing a different main character in every story. Very reminiscent of old-timey radio dramas)

Knifepoint Horror (horror stories, but told in classic campfire/narrative style. Absolutely terrifying and wonderful)

-Non-Fiction-

My Brother, My Brother, and Me (the fabulous McElroy brothers give advice and dispense snark. #20Funny)

History is Gay (a podcast about the overlooked queer ladies, gentlemen, and gentle-enbies throughout history. Focuses mainly on gay history. Lots of interesting information about the perception of gender/sexuality throughout history and various cultures)

My Dad Wrote a Porno (a chapter-by-chapter reading of “Belinda Blinked”, the best/worst erotic novel ever written. The three hosts are the author's son and his two friends. Lots of lewd jokes, terrible womens' anatomy, and good-natured snarking)

Lore (audio essays about weird and/or paranormal events throughout history)

Crime Junkie (basically “My Favorite Murder” lite. A true crime podcast hosted by two women. There's not much here in terms of banter, but it's very straightforward and accessible)

I Don't Even Own a Television (reviewing terrible books)

The Flop House (three comedians look at bad movies. Updates roughly once every month)
