Frankly, being cynical is tiring and doesn't help with anything I care about.

I wish we were more the same but I refuse constant romanticization that leads to self destruction

I'm still young and fiery, forgive me My head's filled with signals of emotions That's kind of hard to control when they shoot and fire because of age

Don't complicate it for too long if you can help it. We're meant to be simple creatures.

How to move on from this? Everything is amiss How do we move forward when we don't even know how? The goal is there, the methods known are foul In the night our souls howl Thrown around, I want our peace found.

Western culture seems wrapped up in hunting down happiness at all costs or swinging to the other extreme of having a toxic obsession with artistic macabre and misery.

It's probably fair to be sad because you're given hope for the world to be better, which seems contradictory. But now that the scum of Earth's impacted me directly it's hard not to really fucking wish things were different.

I guess it makes sense to be sad from feeling trapped with senseless classes and application when I could be making money already.

I guess it makes sense to be sad for a little bit, being stressed and all with a class so tedious and useless.

I guess it makes sense to be sad because I can feel his stagnancy, the endlessness and aimlessness of his days feeling untethered to the world without purpose.

I guess it's a natural reaction to be sad about feeling so helpless and tired.

I think it makes sense to be sad if the one you love is depressed and going through a bunch of shit on top of that.

Maybe I should just allow myself to feel this sensible emotion.

Maybe I'm not so much romanticizing sadness as I am just plainly sad whenever I'm not happy.

An online culture of regarding depression as profound got me allergic to letting myself be sad.

Can't forget I'm human, though. And an emotional Filipino at that.

There's a lot of things you can do to help and someone can get a lot better and move forward. Giving all you got, you might be able to get to a point where you've been able to get them as far as you can help get them. At that point, any effect you might have past that might be just to be a distraction for the shortcomings in life they are yet to come around. I think I must be patient at this point: patient with life and patient with myself by recognizing the extent of my own abilities. Be humble.

Of course, we can't leave out mentioning that it's also important to believe in them, too.

And by believing in them you give them a piece of your strength in the path they must take alone: the path of coming around obstacles in ways that only they can do for themselves. #journal
