Happiness is not something you can grant yourself. It's not something to be bought, or to be earned, it is something that can only be found in Jesus Christ. But don't expect to be happy all the time. Even if you seek the Lord all the time, you will not always be happy. Go read Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 The Lord says there is a time for everything. A time for everything! Sadness and despair are bound to be in that category. Praise the Lord in all situations. It does not count how much you praise Him in the calm, happy days, any fool can do that. The real test is when things get bumpy and depressing. That is when it counts. That is what God will remember on judgment day. That is what determines who and what you are. And it is entirely your choice.
