Messaging app Signal's founder and Chief Executive Officer Moxie Marlinspike will step down and WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton will take over as the interim CEO, Marlinspike said in a blog post on January 10.

Time and time again, Facebook has proven itself a big problem for digital freedoms. This time is no different. From Cambridge Analytica where over 70 million accounts were affected in 2018, 11,000,000 from the U.K. alone to a data breach of 500 million earlier this year, it's evident no one cares about their privacy and/or data. Facebook and its other 92 acquisitions, i.e. Instagram and WhatsApp, as well as another 90 that Facebook has acquired over the past decade and a half.
