[prologue] enormous. the ego.
bacardi on his breath
anger in his heart
no one has ever showed him an ounce of love
so you don't miss
what you don't know
[chap.1] tears fall on the dinner table
he grabs her hair from the scalp
and gives a hard pull
her options?
fight or flee
she tried the latter
but knee met mouth
and she felt two teeth shatter
she hit the ground
blood pouring out her mouth
and crawled on the floor
in pain
towards the couch
she screamed
“i can't take this anymore ...I want out!”
but those words stay stuck
in her head
she's scared to say them aloud
he might hit her
again

closes her eyes
and dreams her life away
