Meditation

Yesterday I tried meditating for the first time in a more serious way.

I had seen a video about the benefits of transcendental meditation and its connections to quantum physics.

Then I chose my own Mantra and went for it.

And here is the problem: I can't write about what I experienced because whenever I catch myself thinking about how I can put my experience into words, it brings me back into the world of thought. I have to let go of the desire to share my experience, otherwise I'm not going to get deeper.

All I can share is a sort of recipe on how to get there:

Find a Mantra that works for you. Here's a list that you can check out: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ruwdHm-AXuLeCIUkiEMb3lIq86M_9VZw/view

It is important to choose one that is right for you. To help guide you, here are lists of what teachers of Transcendental Meditation used for male and female students of different ages throughout the years:

Now, if you found a Mantra that works for you, that has no meaning and soothes you into your own vibration, just find a calm place, get into a relaxed position, and start repeating that mantra, focusing only on that. You can also allow your attention to shift to the sounds of your environment, but hear them only as sounds, try to not give any meaning to them.

It's also a good idea to set a timer so you don't have to think about when to stop. Make sure that there's nothing on your mind that you have to think about.

And then just close your eyes and see what happens.

Edit 27.01.2021: The experience that led me to write this was profound and beautiful. Yet I have hardly practiced meditating since then. Actually, I never reached the same state again. I don't know why I didn't try, but there seems to be some resistance. Just as a note, maybe you figure out, but be aware that it might exist.
