Excerpt from: The Engineer and the Time Lady She decided to look over those encounters. 'Wait!' she thought. 'Maybe Aialah would have a different perspective.' There wasn't magic in her world, but it's variety of speculative fiction seemed to be as rich as that of Earth.
Aialah took in what Alpha had divulged. That the Baffin crew had encountered worlds where there was magic. Most of them were version of Earth of course. “I'll have a look at the list,” she said to Alpha.
“Sure.”
“Let's see,” Aialah said.

Excerpt from: Artefact in Lawndale “And?” Agent Bering asked.
“Investigate! But I will be keeping tabs on you.”
Myka wondered what the Principal had to hide. She was certain that it was more than a juristictional issue. Nevertheless it wasn't her concern. She needed to focus on making sure that the artefact didn't affect too many students. “You notice how the Prinicpal was on edge?” she asked the others.
“Definitely,” Claudia agreed.
“Do you think she'll interfere with the investigation?” Pete asked.
“We can't ignore the possibility,” Myka said.

Excerpt from: 2nd February “It was interesting,” Brittany concluded.
'I'll ask more later,' Daria decided.
“And now, Anna Coultard will recite a short story,” Li said, as a blonde haired girl came up onto the stage.
“Her?” Brittany asked, as Li went off the stage.
“Huh?” Daria asked.
“She has a reputation for eccentricity,” Brittany answered.
“I haven't heard it,” Daria said.
“Brittany's right,” Jane said, just before the recital began.
'But then the would think me eccentric,' Daria thought.
Coultard's story was a little unusual (and unsettling), but Daria took it in her stride. 'Maybe once this situation is resolved, we could talk?' she wondered. It was a possibility.
Then there was a third act.
The night was still young, but Daria was tired. However, she knew her turn was coming.

Excerpt from: Chasing Time “Very strange,” he commented. He took out the sonic and ran a scan. It was inconclusive. “What do you mean inconclusive?” He ran another scan. It still said the same thing.
Clara and Lauren watched the screen with concern. The Doctor was getting annoyed with the sonic scans. “I think I know what he’s going to do next,” she said.
“And that is?” Lauren asked.
“He’s going to try to get as close as possible without them affecting him.”
“I see,” Lauren said.
The Doctor came close to the lights, but they then vanished. “Strange.” He ran another scan. Everything was normal. “Maybe the TARDIS would make better sense of it.”

Excerpt from: Mariana Agent U knew that Agent M had appraised her when they had greeted. All Human agents did. She had gotten used to it. She couldn’t fault her for that. To the contrary, she looked forward to working with her to solve the problem. She had read up on the available information on Agent M’s previous missions. She arrived at the aquatic portion of the servery.
“What will it be, Agent U? The usual?”
“Yes.”
Agent M found Agent U laying on one of the special couches next to one of the tables. She raised an eyebrow at the design as she took a seat.
“You like the design?” Agent U asked.
“It’s interesting,” Agent M said.
“It’s also practical. Human chairs are not ergonomic for us Mers, nor for most of the aquatic aliens.”
Agent M nodded.
“So, it started several months ago. Strange requisitions, various Mers and aliens going missing and the rumors,” Agent U disclosed.
Agent M knew that was what Agent O had sent her for. “That is what the briefing package said.”
“There is more.”
“Of course.”
“Some of the missing Mers sent me messages, that they had been threatened by persons unknown shortly before they disappeared.”
