SEC Speculations
Big day today of course as it was time for Gary Gensler SEC Nomination Hearing. This of course went hand in hand with speculation .....
Saying XRP without XRP, meaning Ripple when he says particular things ..... everybody was hearing things that were / were not said. Hype, .... yes, Hype, ...... SHOULD NOT ! ! !
I expect nothing out of this. This is just an official thing, the chair was filled by Gary Gensler.
A strong point I heard, was the following sentence said by Gary: “I'd work with fellow commissions both to promote the new innovations but also, at the core, ensure investor protection”.
The crypto currency industry has high hopes as Gary, teaching Crypto classes @ MIT. He knows what he is talking about, yes, that is a positive thing, but he still needs to persuade a group of people and well, for Ripple, there still is a trial.
Well, in my opinion, Mr. Gensler did not surprise during his air time. The answers were very well scripted, once again, in MY opinion and made sure he did not say anything that could hurt any lawsuit there currently is.
The SEC lawsuit to me is going to have the following outcome, will take some weeks/ months:
YES, XRP WAS a security but no longer is ........ a security ! ! !
YES, Ripple is going to be penalised ..... big time ! ! !
YES, XRP WILL get the hard earned NO SECURITY title ! ! !
I don't really think people should read anything into the nomination hearing today, as this was just putting 2 gentlemen in place.
