ramza is a himbo
a soft-skinned noble whose defining characteristic is not his courage or skill but instead his pure, smooth-brained naivete.
he ends up uncovering the demonic conspiracy beneath his world’s monarchic upheaval mostly by being so dumb that he consistently asks the worst people in the world if they could do him a favor. he thinks algus, history’s worst person, is an OK dude right up until the dude has ramza’s best friend’s sister gutshot and then exploded.
he grew up with a commoner for a best friend and at no point seems to have thought about the class structures of society, which in his case just makes him think he can be a doofy friend for everyone in the entire world, including terrorists and immortal liches
the man goes to a bar in the middle of the region’s worst war in its recorded history, and orders himself a little glass of milk

he is the perfect alternative to the JRPG Silent Protagonist: the Dumb Protagonist, happy to make friends with anyone and do whatever, just don’t say a bad word about his lil’ sister or you’ll get an earful, bucko, assuming he is able to register that what you said was actually a “threat” and not “a friendly invitation to dinner perhaps”
