Younique often claims that it was started to make money for The Younique Foundation. That is a lie. The Foundation came into being *after* Younique did. In fact, we had to get special permission from [Derek Maxfield](https://www.youniqueproducts.com/business/founders#.W2J1FS1L23A) last year to donate all the proceeds from the Younique Foundation Customer [Kudos ](https://write.as/cawgtt422mbsd.md) to The Younique Foundation (normally, it's only a marginal percentage). That's one month-long promotion. And that's only proceeds. It's all sanctimonious bullshit. *—Ex-Employee*
