Translation tools that I'm using
In this chance, it would be good to introduce some translation tools and some similar things I use to read and write in foreign languages on the web.
- Google Translation, based on Google Chrome
- Homepage Link
- Almost people are using this nowadays, right?
- Google does not say “Don'be evil” more. It makes me very sad. But their tool is still solid and popular.
- DeepL
- Homepage Link
- Good quality.
- TWP: Firefox plugin
- Github Link
- Firefox Addon Page Link
- My primary web browser is Firefox. (There is no other option. Only Firefox could handle hundreds of tabs smoothly!)
- Until now, the UX of this addon is the most satisfying to me, within the translate addon.
- For a while after Google restricted the translation API, Firefox users had to find their own way. It seems to be working fine now.
- Grammarly
- Homepage Link
- Irregular and conventional elements of language, such as the definite article, are not easy enemies of foreign language users. This app is helpful to be against these enemies, wonderfully.
- Naver Whale
- Homepage Link
- Chrome based web-browser, has an image translation feature. Sometimes useful.
