Self-discovery among clowns

The path to self-discovery is actually quite short, if you can only realize that what you think of as your self is in fact a clown.

The reason this is difficult to grasp is that you are not a happy clown, but a sad one. And not a very good one at that. Clearly these are truths best repressed.

Clown philosophy is often sad philosophy.

You see, the thing about clowns is that they will say or do anything to get a laugh, or to get what they want. Just like people.

But don't tell people that, because they tend to get all pissy about it, and then they want to know who you think you are, and then you'd have to tell them. Best not.

Maybe the thing about being a clown is just knowing it. At least then you... no, you know, forget it, knowing it doesn't really help either.

You're stuck in a clown. There. I said it.

That's the problem right there.
