Growth and Prosperity in the Digital Asset Space

Habits...

They affect our lives whether we realize it or not. In fact, habits play a major role in how various areas of our lives turn out... good or bad.

If you eat a decent diet and exercise in the gym a few days per week, you will remain at a good level of health and fitness.

If you regularly save money, cut down on expenses, and invest into appreciating assets, your wealth portfolio will be on the up and up.

If you consistently care for, encourage, and love on others, your relationships will flourish, adding more joy to your life.

But, what if we don't like the habits we currently entertain on a daily basis? What if we decided it was time for a change?

Well, you can read all the books you want, or gather up as much motivation as you want, but that will only get you through the short-term.

The long-term, more effective way that I've found works well to change a habit, is to hone in and focus on your IDENTITY.

Who are you, and who do you want to be?

Are you currently out of shape and want to change that part of you? Do you want to have a healthy body, as well as look and feel more confident each day?

If so, you must begin by seeing yourself as that person. See yourself as a person who ALREADY feels great, who looks great, and eats nutritious foods to fuel your body.

Are you going broke and want to grow your wealth instead? View yourself each day as someone who already IS wealthy and who makes decisions that only take you closer to that level of wealth.

Are your relationships going sour or are non-existent at the moment? That can change by putting yourself out there, showing love and compassion towards others without expecting anything in return.

Habits begin with a decision. If you've been in the same rut you've found yourself in for a decade, it means you made a decision long ago and then never changed your thought patterns. All that needs done to change a habit is to make a new decision and then match it up with your identity.

Are you a sloppy, broke, self-centered person? Or, are you healthy, fit, wealthy, and generous person looking to breathe life into others? The choice is yours... but the clock is ticking.

Interledger: Payment Protocol of the Future

It was a brisk winter morning before the glistening sun rose above the freezing cold ground of Northeast Ohio. Author Ken Melendez awoke from his Coil writing slumber to reflect and ponder events that have occurred over the last number of weeks.

Here he is to tell us more...

Greetings friends, family, and others who don't fit those two categories. It is I, sir Kenneth the 3rd of Camelot with a life update as of late regarding myself and my precious family. Some of you may have been wondering where I have been. I've been around doing 'grown-up' things... aka being a responsible adult helping to get our ducks in a row.

God is performing his work right now and the results are brilliantly unfolding right before my wife and I's eyes. Turns out that the home we have been renting for close to five years is now the home we are about to close on in a couple weeks.

The landlords that currently own the home are moving and decided to offer the property to us first. After days of thought and prayer, we took them up on the offer and will be official home owners as of February 26th.

To have our own home to raise our kids in is a huge blessing to say the least. Starting in March, we are going to transform the property from a duplex into a single family layout by knocking out the wall that divides the upstairs from the downstairs. We are also remodeling the kitchen and tearing down the wall between the two attached garages.

Who knew that the home we have been trying to move away from for the past couple years is the home we are going to end up owning? God knew and we have been trusting him while he has been working things out through this whole process.

Throughout the years, we have always told people that we want 3-4 children. Well, sure enough, that seems to be happening. Yes, you heard right... we are pregnant with our 4th child due in September. Do we know the sex yet? No, but soon.

Our oldest son wants a sister. I think it would be neat to have a girl. Sarrah feels a lot different this pregnancy and her nausea is much worse than with the previous three. Time will tell. I am excited to find out as we are blessed either way.

On the job front, I am loving my position as the Inventory Control Supervisor for an agricultural services distribution center here in Ohio. The hours are consistent, and the work is rewarding. I officially received my pay raise for it and am on track for another one later this year.

I am most likely buying a truck. Not just any truck. It is a 1981 Ford F150 with only 86,000 miles on it. Yeah, I know, it's crazy awesome. I should be test driving it within a month or two. If I like it, I am going to buy it to haul materials to fix up the house.

My transformation into full-on cowboy is underway. It all started last year when I started my new job and first began listening to country music. Ever since, I have been diving into the western/southern culture and enjoy all things that have to do with the wild west and/or cowboy/country life.

The outdoors has become a new passion of mine as I can't get enough of God's beautiful creation. The sunrise, the crisp air, the white clouds, the birds chirping, fresh cut grass, open fields, green trees, the sunset during a bonfire. It's all so surreal as one takes the time to soak it all in and appreciate the free wonders of life.

Axe throwing... One of the greatest activities on the planet. I joined a local league and have been going every Sunday since early January. My throwing partner and I recently got sponsored to compete in a regional competition. Such an incredible experience and more fun than I've had in a while.

Crypto is going strong as of late. Of course, if you are a retail investor like me, then you hear yourself continually say, “Man, I wish I had more of that coin” (even though you already have thousands of them lol).

When the market takes off in a major way, I want to purchase a 50-acre ranch and invite my family and friends from all over the country to come hang with us. I'm talkin' grillin', 4-wheelin', axe throwin', huntin', and just chillin' on the back porch drinkin' beer and enjoying the scenery.

Last but not least, I am looking forward to spring and warmer weather. I know it's coming soon and just in time to start fixing up our home. May is my birthday month and plan on throwing a get together at our home. I would like the remodel to be completed by then if possible.

2021 is underway and I can't wait to see what God has in store next. I will be pretty busy getting the home situated, but I intend on setting aside time to write since I enjoy creating and because others gain varying insight from the words contained in each article.

Life is full of surprises. Embrace them and have faith in the unseen.

Understanding the following concept will change your life for the better. Applying this concept to your daily routine will dramatically increase your desired results.

We are quickly approaching the new year, 2021, the time when people in general begin thinking about the things they will do differently or better than this year.

Unfortunately, many new years resolutions do not last very long for various reasons depending on the individual. A big reason that people quit their new years resolutions is due to a lack of habit, along with weak reasons why they are pursuing that resolution.

It is of utmost importance to allow your new diet or work out plan, for example, to manifest itself over time in the form of a habit. Habits generally take anywhere from 21-30 days to reach maturation. If you happen to quit before the maturation period, that means you didn't allow enough time for your body and mind to internalize the new action.

The following section contains simplified summaries on how to form habits in varying areas of your life that you may want to improve upon.

Fitness

Choose a workout plan. Choose a gym or an outdoor area that is away from your comfortable home. Stick to the plan for at least 30 days.

Diet

Choose a diet plan that fits your needs. Get rid of food / drink that is not on that plan. Buy groceries that only fit within that plan. Stick to the plan for at least 30 days.

Relationships

Decide what type of relationship(s) you desire. Be loving towards others. Stay away from dating apps. Go out and meet people with similar interests. Be yourself. Do this for at least 30 days (usually takes less time than this to form solid relationships).

Spiritual

Take a while to pray and ask God to reveal truth about himself and who he is. Commit to a prayer/study plan for at least 30 days.

Money

Understand the value of money and the options it can bring into your life. Employ an abundance mindset. Use saving and investing to your advantage. Pay close attention to your finances for at least 30 days and save/invest a portion of each paycheck you recieve.

Emotions

Make a habit of spending quiet time alone in the mornings before getting ready for the day. Focus on your shifting your state by being grateful for things in your life. Do this for at least 30 days in a row.

Crypto

To piggyback on the previous topic of money, diversifying your portfolio into cryptocurrencies can be a rewarding venture. Make a habit of researching different projects in the digital asset space and commit to investing a portion of your paycheck into crypto over the next 30 days.

One big key to building up a habit is to compile a list of reasons why the new habit is important to you. What benefits will performing this action bring to your life? Spend time composing a list of reasons why you must succeed in this particular area of your life and what will happen if you don't.

The new year is right around the corner. It is best to get set up for success now before the new year so you can be ahead of the curve mentally, physically, spiritually, financially, and emotionally.

I believe that 2021 will be full of good surprises. Looking forward to the adventurous, joy-filled journey ahead. ✦

Writing this at 4:51am on a cold winter morning. One cup of coffee polished off with another on the horizon.

Working a day job at a warehouse over the past year has opened my eyes to the overwhelming potential of the supply chain industry.

For me, it is a no brainer to invest in tech projects that accelerate the supply chain industry and improve its processes dramatically. Sourcing, logistics, tracking, shipping, warehousing, and so on are all pieces that comprise the industry as a whole.

That cup of coffee is working, but only slowly. Cup 2 is about to start brewing.

Is your goal to be debt free? Perhaps you would like to live in abundance and experience financial independence? Whatever the case may be, crypto, or digital assets, is a vehicle that can help you get there.

Cryptocurrency is not a literal vehicle to drive in, although that would be pretty neat, it is a metaphorical vehicle that will take you where no man or woman has gone before.

Coffee #2 has been brewed.

The difference between arriving at your destination and standing still is a decision. Each day, one must decide whether or not to enter the vehicle and start driving.

The answer to getting “unstuck” from the perpetual paycheck to paycheck rat race of life... is by acquiring assets. Robert Kiyosaki preaches this notion in his famous book, Rich Dad Poor Dad.

Assets have the power to pay you while you are sleeping. And, as the wise investor himself, Warren Buffet, says, “If you can't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die”.

Man this coffee is good.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. An asset a day keeps the debt collector away. Solid life advice brought to you by yours truly. You're welcome.

Obviously, there are many ways one can earn a living. But, how many people are living their dreams and impacting humanity on a large scale? The answer, sadly, is not many.

Once one awakens to the fact that there is much more to money than savings accounts and 401k's, the fun begins to unfold in so many unexpected and interesting ways.

The possibilities unravel into an endless sea of opportunities and encounters that drastically change the trajectory of history itself.

Think about that. ✦

Coil...

A unique company with a unique vision.

A web-based platform displaying interesting content.

A blogging community that exists to spread important messages, have fun, and meet other interesting individuals in the process.

A full-fledged staff that is eager to drive the quest of Web Monetization throughout the land.

Partnerships such as Imgur and Cinnamon are pushing the boundaries towards mass market appeal.

It is time to get excited about what Coil is doing. The technology. The vision behind it all. It is quite fascinating when put into perspective.

Back in the early days when the internet was being built and new use-cases were coming of age, coders knew that the ability to send payments natively over the web was a done deal.

The only problem was that they didn't know how the existing, antiquated world monetary system would fuse together in harmony with an emerging technology.

The information age has arisen over the years, giving people the ability to send a message to the other side of the world in less than a second.

But the question remains, what about payments? Shouldn't they be instant as well? What about being able to send a single dollar or even 10 dollars to a buddy across town in seconds like you can a text message or an email?

To make up for the fact that a particular piece of technology was missing at the time (ILP + Web Monetization), 3rd party payment companies were born such as PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App to facilitate transactions.

These companies are the middle men, the trust layers between the fund's senders and the receivers.

Interledger now makes it possible for a company or individual to send payments of any form such as a dollar, a token, etc, to a receiver, allowing them to receive that value in any form they desire.

Web Monetization gives web browsers the ability to stream micropayments to any Interledger address in existence. If you are reading this, you most likely have the Coil extension installed in your Chrome browser, streaming payments in real time to web-monetized pages.

The more the word gets out regarding Interledger and Web Monetization, the more it will spread. Coil's vision is to fundamentally change the way that people experience the internet. An ad-free, paywall free, and privacy-rich user environment.

A world exists where creators can get paid for their content without filling their sites with pesky advertisements or relying on 3rd party services such as YouTube to pay them.

When people devote their thoughts to the sheer magnitude this change can make on the future, get ready for a massive wake up call on a global scale.

Let's go.

Here it is...

Another Thanksgiving holiday.

Except this time... the circumstances look a bit different.

Covid-19 decided to hit not only the US, but multiple nations hard this year, causing many families to cancel Thanksgiving altogether. Many will now be sharing a meal with only their immediate household.

Even though this is true, it is important to take time and reflect on things we can be thankful for this year, even though it has been a tough one overall.

Let's be grateful for the basic necessities of life. Without them, we wouldn't be able to live a life that we enjoy let alone be able to pour into other people and lift them up.

Food

Drink

Shelter

Clothing

Relationships

Transportation

Think of every day like a gift. Every day that you wake up, you can be thankful for at least one thing in your life. If you start off each day with a grateful attitude and a grateful heart, that will set you up for success for the rest of the day.

Let's talk about more things that we can be thankful for. We can be thankful for technology and the fact that we're able to invest , grow, learn, about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

Blockchain technology has opened up an entirely new opportunity for people who are looking for ways to earn extra income, especially in underprivileged countries where they don't have access to many of the financial means that we have here in the US.

Be thankful for where we live and for having the resources available at our fingertips to learn, to grow, and to enjoy the things that we want to enjoy while gaining value from the things that we am interested in.

This year has hit many people and many households hard financially, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Not to mention the fact that we have to wear masks everywhere we go out in public which prevents us from seeing people for who they really are.

Even though it has been tough to navigate these waters, there is a silver lining if you look for it. It is all about perspective. What is your perspective on the current landscape of society? Is it all doom and gloom? Or do you see hope in the future?

Source

It is time to shift our perspective and look for the good, look for the hope, look for the things that we can be grateful for during these stressful times. The times may still be hard, and we may still struggle, but our mindset and our belief systems will allow us to get through these times just a little bit easier.

Being grateful, and putting yourself into that state of thankfulness, Is going to allow you to fight the stress and the pressure that is being put upon you during these trying times. We could even be grateful for gratefulness itself.

We could be grateful for the fact that we are even able to be grateful in the first place. When you find yourself at that level of gratefulness, then nothing can stop you. Nothing.

Being in that state, where you are grateful for the fact that you can be grateful, is a power that not many have learned to unlock and therefore stay stuck in their current ways of thinking, not making much progress towards hope of any kind. Do not let that be you friend.

Do not fall into the doom and gloom trap, but instead, put yourself into a state of gratefulness... and your life will never be the same. Simply take a few minutes out of your day to think of things that make you smile. If you can't think of anything currently, then think of something that you could be grateful for if you did have it in your life.

So, as we celebrate Thanksgiving today, may we also celebrate the fact that we have the ability to be grateful. It doesn't have to stop there. It can continue far beyond the Thanksgiving holiday and spillover into next year and the year after that and the year after that and the year after that and the year after that.

Right now, the decision to choose gratefulness can kick start a ripple effect not only in your life, but in the lives of those around you and the people you touch all over the world with your message.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Peace out. ✦

Hey...glad to see you here. So far we have taken a look at a couple concepts when it comes to publishing on Coil.com. Topics such as getting set up and proper article composition are both important aspects of growing creative skill sets. One thing that publishers need access to on a regular basis is a constant stream of content ideas to ensure their creative state continues to flow.

Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners.

State

First of all, I want you to start, or continue to, think like a winner because you are one. If you are reading this post, then you have an insatiable desire for growth and contribution. You are hungry to learn and then implement that knowledge into your own blog posts. I envy that about you. In fact, you know what? You are a bad ass publishing master!

See? That's what you need. Get into that positive state of mind and use self-talk that is motivating and encouraging. This is your source of energy (and coffee as well, of course). Once you place yourself in that superhero power state, you will be fully energized and perform at peak levels of efficiency like never before.

*Read*

Literally. Read anything and everything you can get your hands on. Not only does this improve your reading skills, but it also floods your mind with endless content ideas for your blogs. Who doesn't want to flood the mind with endless ideas?

[ WAIT! Ken, does this mean that you want me to copy the exact words I read down onto my blog posts? ... Uh... no Suzy, I don't mean that.]

Instead of copying verbatim what you read, use the topics and discussions you read in other books and articles to spawn brand new content that has your own unique spin attached to it.

Reading helps to activate the creative corners of your brain. It is the fuel to your blogging rocket ship. Make a daily habit to read material that is preferably related to the topic(s) that your blog is focused on and that your audience has come to expect.

Diving into a solid fiction book series is also quite effective. Not all reading material has to be centered around a desired topic. Are you a morning person? An afternoon person? An evening person? Read at a time of day when you have the most intellectual clarity for deep brain absorption.

*Compile*

Spend 10-15 minutes at a time compiling ideas into an online note software such as Noteability or Evernote. The reason you want to do this is because you want to harness the ability to add notes from anywhere in the world at any point in time.

Pro tip: Do not compile ideas right before you are planning to compose your blog article. Doing so will create overwhelm and cloud your creative mind with poisonous mushrooms that will haunt your dreams forever.

Organize your newly compiled ideas into categories. For example, if you are a food blogger, then make a new note for each category such as desserts, baked goods, dinners, specialty meals, breakfast dishes, etc. Utilize an organization system that makes sense to you and what you are working to accomplish.

Jot

OK, now you are ready for the last action step of the conversation. Review the compilation of ideas that you created at some point in the past week or so and jot some words down onto your blog article.

Pro tip: It does not matter which words you initially jot down onto your blog page. You can always edit these later. Start writing whatever words come to mind which will get your creative juices flowing like the salmon of Capistrano.

Back in 12th grade, my English teacher taught me the jot technique to help combat the effects of writer's block. If you find yourself with no words moving from your brain to your screen, employ the jot technique and like magic, words will come.

The jot technique alone will help put a multitude of content ideas in your mind to then transfer down onto your blog. But, when combined with the other 3 suggestions, it creates a powerhouse effect that will stand the test of time.

Now that you know what to do (sort of) it is time to put it into practice. Commit to finding time for getting in that peak state, reading faithfully, compiling diligently, and jotting down like crazy. From there, it is simply up to you following a fool proof, rinse and repeat method of attaining continual content ideas for your blog.

Success isn't achieved overnight, but by each mundane day that passes by.

Feel free to visitproofoflegacy.comfor additional ways to get in touch with Ken and his work.

What is Ripple Pulse?

Ripple Pulse is a unique and specialized article series composed by, Ken Melendez, housed on the Web-Monetized content platform, Coil.com. Ripple Pulse is in no way affiliated or endorsed by the company and is simply to be viewed as a source of entertainment for relevant news and legitimate information regarding the Ripple ecosystem. Any personal views or speculation contained in this series is strictly my opinion and is not to be taken as financial advice.

Who is Ripple?

Ripple is an enterprise-grade software company valued at $10B, partnering with corporate entities around the globe, improving the antiquated payment system, specifically cross-border settlement. Their mission is based around driving the Internet of Value, where money moves as efficiently as information does today. The company has been in existence since 2012 and has re-branded over the years from OpenCoin, to Ripple Labs, and now to simply Ripple.

Why is this important?

Discovering detailed information about the Ripple ecosystem matters because the company is solving one of the biggest problems in all of global finance, cross-border settlement. As the current settlement system stands, foreign accounts need to be pre-funded with large amounts of capital serving no other purpose than sitting there waiting for a transaction to go through which can take anywhere from 3-5 business days.

Ripple is thoroughly educating central banks and federal regulators from multiple countries on how to free tied-up capital, hasten stone-age transaction times, and lower unnecessarily high transaction costs in cross border payments. The company has been hard at work for the past 8 years and shows no sign of slowing down.

Ripple is striving to put a dent in the universe, specifically within the digital payments realm, different than any other organization in the industry. Institutional and retail investors alike need to pay close attention to any and all developments occurring within the ecosystem to stay on the cutting-edge of this unprecedented phase in history.

☕️ Dear reader,

The world as we know it is experiencing a global crisis. This crisis comes in the form of a virus that is tough to avoid, even while wearing protective gear like masks and shields over our heads. Covid-19 is one of the many issues rampaging through large and small nations of the world.

Yet, in the midst of the chaos, a phoenix arises from the ashes. That phoenix is Ripple, the company recently valued at over $10 billion. This episode of Ripple Pulse is going to dive deeper into the progress made in the blockchain and digital asset space regardless of global hardships.

Despite the pandemic hysteria, the Ripple team has been moving forward, pushing the boundaries of innovation to new heights (while mostly working from home).

Sometimes, in the face of the biggest adversities, incredible innovations have come to light. Let us take a look at some of the actions that have been taking place on the Ripple front.

Block Stars

Block [](https://open.spotify.com/show/0rTTc0Hi2aS1409ncDHDFL?si=N_xSOO_OQ6GIvC_FFaB95Q) Stars is a blockchain and digital assets podcast with the first episode airing at the beginning of May including special guest Chris Larsen. The podcast is hosted by Ripple CTO, David Schwartz.

Jaw-dropping topics are discussed such as global crypto adoption, liquidity, regulation, the XRP ledger, and what post Covid-19 life may look like in regards to digital assets.

Each episode of Block Stars runs around 30-45 minutes and is continually evolving with new guests to speak with and new topics to cover in detail.

Garlinghouse Statement

In a recent 2-part tweet, Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, notified followers of the heavy investor interest surrounding the crypto space right now.

Garlinghouse goes on to back the #1 digital asset by market cap, BTC, by calling it a useful inflation hedge. This statement flies in the face of some XRP community members thoughts, bashing BTC for it's low-end tech specs.

https://twitter.com/bgarlinghouse/status/1329559859914698755

In addition to BTC, XRP is also mentioned in the tweet for it's incredible speed, cost, and scalability, making it extremely relevant within the payments realm. Payments, and making them more efficient, has been Ripple's goal since the beginning. That goal is coming to fruition.

Garlinghouse has been known in the past to support multiple currencies, not just XRP. Multiple boats will rise as was implied by the hashtag #allboatsrise. I believe that particular mindset is a good perspective to adopt as we are stronger together.

At the end of the day, it is all about the USE CASE, says Brad. It is no longer 2018 when ICO's were running rampant while scammers were having a field day with people's Ether. A level playing field must be designed by regulators so that the good guys can flourish and the bad actors can be punished.

Regulatory clarity in the U.S. continues to be an issue for Ripple and other companies that desire to operate within US borders. Brad linked to this article on Fortune where he discusses the topic in further detail.

XRP

It comes with no surprise, especially to the enthusiastic XRP community, that the recent price of the 3rd largest digital asset by market cap is up more than 80% over the past 7 days. The recent surge is occurring throughout a decent-sized portion of the crypto space but in differing amounts among particular assets.

Currently, the price sits at $0.52 as of 11/23/20 at 10:54am. The above chart displays the upward trend of the asset over the past 7 days. Will the price continue rocketing? Well, if we look at the all-time high of $3.84 on January 4th, 2018, we can see that the potential is surely there. Will it hit that relatively soon? Time will tell.

XUMM App Updates

XRPL Labs created an app called XUMM which is

a wallet & platform allows easy payments (send/receive/integrate) on the XRP ledger.

The website to view more information on the app is xumm.app. The app can also be downloaded directly from the App Store or Google Play store by searching the word “Xumm”.

The most recent update of the app is version 0.6.0 which is explained in detail here. Wietse Wind, a top XRPL developer, mentioned that he believes this is the last beta update for the app and that it will be ready for the full release soon.

A great resource for up-to-date information regarding Xumm is on their official Coil blog. I highly recommend downloading Xumm and then start poking around the beautiful interface.

Tangem cards, crypto wallets with built in private keys, will soon be compatible with Xumm. You can even get your hands on an official Xumm-branded physical card if you are patient and wait until next month to order one.

Coil

For those new to Coil, it is a web-monetized content service designed to house the work of creatives who publish original content to be shared with the greater community.

Email Error and Resolution

On November 16th, Coil released an update to their Terms and Privacy policy. This update was announced via email and sent out to all their account holders.

The following points were sent inside the email to explain some of the changes that took place as a result of the update:

We changed the formatting of our Privacy Policy so it’s easier to follow and added additional disclosures for California residents, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA).

We clarified how our partner integrations work.

We clarified that certain restrictions about how you use Coil Services or Coil content may be imposed based on requirements of our Financial Services providers.

We updated the explanation of how our extension works to make it easier to understand.

We added an API Policy which applies to developers using our APIs.

Unfortunately, when this email was sent out to Coil's confidential mailing list, multiple email addresses were placed into the “To” box by mistake due to the way the company interfaces with their mail provider.

To view an extremely detailed explanation direct from CEO of Coil, Stefan Thomas, please refer to this post on Coil's official communication page.

Once an email is sent, it basically is what it is. Mistakes happen. An apology email was sent out and proper procedures were put in place to ensure this mistake does not happen again in the future.

As a result of this unfortunate conundrum, Coil users will all recieve the month of December 2020 free of charge. Faith in Coil should not be lost. In fact, it should be made stronger in light of these challenging circumstances. ✦

Thank you for tuning in to this edition of Ripple Pulse. Keep in mind, this is simply a small snapshot of the bigger picture that is unfolding all around us.

May we work together to make the world a better place despite the pandemic that is pillaging through our towns and in our families. The last thing we need is social division within our communities on top of a deadly virus attacking us physically.

Keep your head up, friend. See you in the next one.

As human beings, we are all obsessed with something, even if we don't realize it.

The pursuit of happiness, love, joy, money, peace, friendships, health, fitness, and a successful career are just a few examples of areas we tend to act in an obsessive manner.

We are all reaching for something beyond ourselves. Reaching towards the unknown in order for it to become known in our current realities.

Children are naturally obsessive creatures with a strong appetite for curiosity. A child's obsessive nature regarding even the most miniscule topics and objects is nothing short of extraordinary.

Over time, as those children grow, age, and mature, they LEARN from others that obsession is a “bad thing”. Others tell them to “stay away” from obsessing over things because it makes you look like a lunatic!

Since when did it become OK to blend in with the crowd? Since when did it become OK to want to look like everyone else, sound like everyone else, and behave like everyone else?

What is the point of fitting in anyways? To stop others from judging? To stop others from forming opinions? The cold hard fact of life is... some people will judge and form opinions no matter what someone else does or doesn't do.

Shall we pose the question?

What if adults became obsessed with digital assets, aka cryptocurrency, just like a child is constantly obsessed with toy cars, dolls, or that next episode of the Magic School Bus?

Obsession, not merely in the form of possession, but also in terms of research, education, content creation, coding projects, and so on.

Indeed, there are people in the world right now who are obsessed with the industry in this manner. These people are the movers and shakers, the pioneers if you will, of the digital age.

What would it look like if a larger majority of holders and fans of cryptocurrency go balls to the wall, submerging themselves full force, creating a blazing inferno of depth and wisdom around them?

The outside world would take more notice. The outside world would see the industry in a different light altogether. Not only would the outside world be different, but individual lives and families would be dramatically altered.

Single mothers wouldn't have to work 2 jobs to make ends meet. Young adults wouldn't need to rely on college all on it's own to provide a solid living for them. Retirees wouldn't need to work at Wal-Mart unless they wanted to.

The entire cryptocurrency space would evolve at a rapid pace. Faster than it is moving currently. Businesses would forever be altered to run more efficiently. A multitude of innovative ideas would be flowing in and out of daily conversation.

Can another question be posed?

What great feat has been accomplished without at least a healthy level of obsession?

What great sports player has ever helped win championships without practicing each and every day? What great musician has made it big without putting hours of dedicated work in day after day?

I challenge anyone to find one of the greats of this world sitting around eating bon-bons and watching Seinfeld all day. No one can become great at something by doing nothing. Action is a necessary part of life. Not just action, but obsessive action truly gets the job done.

When someone is operating at that level of play, nothing can stop them. Nothing is impossible for them. No one or nothing can stand in their way. Determination is their middle name and there is no taking them down.

The problem

Reasons why people strive for things beyond themselves are the fuel behind their rocket ship. Possessing strong reasons why the bar is set on achieving particular goals is generally a good thing.

The problem lies wherein those reasons becoming excuses why they can't do this, that, or the other. The reason why they started that business, that blog, that coding project, that diet, that charity, is now the very excuse that is holding them back from attaining success in that chosen area.

Another problem is trying to fit in with the crowd as mentioned earlier. People work hard to impress strangers who they may not even like being around. Working each day to live up to other people's opinions and expectations is poisonous and has the potential to slowly drain the life out of people.

Time for a solution

I don't normally curse, but... it's time for people to go bat shit crazy on their passions. Everyone gets one life to live. That life should not be spent drifting through each day, week, month, or year like it's no big deal.

The solution is to stay up early, or go to bed late. Find the TIME to dedicate to what is important to you. That business, that hobby, that charity, that diet, that relationship. DO what it is that you are called to do... what you were designed to do.

Hang the excuses at the door, take action, and just do it. ✦
