WHAT TO DO IF YOUR CHILD IS A BULLY? Most if not all of us have fallen victim to a bully at some stage in our lives and know how traumatising that can be, but how do you deal with the situation when it is your child that is the bully? Children can exhibit bullying behaviours for a number of reasons, such as: • They may be seeking attention and think bullying weaker children is a way to gain popularity. • They may be insecure and wish to feel powerful and have control over other people (check some methods on writing essays for money) • They may have seen bullying behaviours at home and are acting out what they have seen their parents, relatives or friends do. • The child may have been a victim of bullying themselves. • Some children don’t understand that their behaviour is wrong and hurtful.
