Art

“One common question that commoners usually asked me was, ‘How can you point one artwork has a soul and the rest not?’

It is simple. The one that has soul will catch your attention in miliseconds, make you hold your breath, and stays in your memory for a long (if not very long) time. The longer it stays means you have a collector item to grab fast.

What usually catch my attention is the feel, how the artists/ artisans take risks and challenge themselves to create something unusual, beyond words and imagination, intricate, yet delicate, proportional, and mesmerizing at the same time. They create a dream in one millisecond.

Did you notice I said 'take risk’? The risk comes from the journey. It shows their achievements till this point of their journeys. The risk makes it all worthy.

So, the moment fear stops your steps toward risky choice, an artisan has already died.

There is no such thing as 'our own limit’, unless it is an excuse. We are the highest among the nature’s hierarchy. Our brain capacity has not even been used more than 15% and we’ve seen many great civilization built that’s just beyond our imagination.

To live is to acknowledge, to achieve, to share, to be, and to let go. Without progress, life itself has no meaning. If we don’t pursue the better and the greater, we will diminish the essence of life and its’ purpose.

Art is a way of thinking and communicating. It is born way before numbers, alphabets, and words. It is ever much older than the philosophy. Art is our mental awareness.

You don’t choose to be an artist and artisan. No one can choose to be one. You can choose to be a painter, a designer, a dancer, but you can’t choose to be an artist or artisan. You just do.

That very same way goes as the answer of your question. You can be a clerk, a marketing, and anything other than artisans.

The artist in you, no one could take it away. Not even yourself. Never let fear makes you run from yourself.

If knowledge and feelings can create problems, it is not through ignorance that we can solve them.”
