G8.) How do I safely reset my database?

NOTE: Resetting the database will erase Trading Hours templates, historical trade execution data, saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results. This data will only reside in the copy you made.

a.) Shutdown NinjaTrader and open your My Documents folder     b.) Select NinjaTrader 8–> DB     c.) There will be a file called “NinjaTrader.sqlite” or “NinjaTrader.sdf”. Make a copy of that file.     d.) Restart the NinjaTrader and go Tools–>Database Management–>Reset DB and tick all the boxes there     e.) Click the Reset button, then close NinjaTrader and relaunch it.

NOTE: The following items stored in the old database will not be present in the new db – Trading Hours templates, Instrument Lists / Custom Instruments, historical trade execution data, saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results. This data will only reside in the copy you made.

    a.) Shutdown NinjaTrader and open your My Documents folder     b.) Select NinjaTrader 8–> DB     c.) There will be a file called “NinjaTrader.sqlite” or “NinjaTrader.sdf”. Right-click on that file and select “Rename”, change the filename to something like “OLDNinjaTrader”.     e.) Relaunch NinjaTrader and it will create a fresh database file to use.
