I have been pondering the cosmopolitan nature of street-names, or place-names, in Singapore recently.

For example:

  1. Spanish Village
  2. Burmah Road
  3. Holland Village
  4. Nepal Park
  5. Cambridge, an area of residences near Farrer Park MRT Station
  6. Amoy Street （厦门街）。
  7. Frankel Estate.
  8. French Road.
