Choosing paper

#learn

The first post entry for a series of calligraphy practices. This is by far what has improved the most during my hibernation from work heheh.

I've bought 3 types of papers, one is Artbox' calligraphy paper bought in 2018 when in Korea, and the other 2 are from local Shopee stores, both are brandless watercolor papers from China.

Artbox

This is definitely the best among 3 because it's specially made for calligraphy purpose. The paper surface makes it best for writing and it comes in handy with a small paper tray to use. The problem is while it's so cheap when in Korea, buying from Vietnam isn't easy. The price is nearly 300k for a set of 100 pages while it's only 4,900 wons in Korea.

UMEE

The second one, honestly has the worst surface for writing but it has great weight and is the best for blending with vivid color appearance. That's why I'll consider buying again for watercolor practices (maybe haha)

This one cannot compare with Artbox in terms of the paper surface but is good enough for writing. The blending is slightly not as good as UMEE, but the weight is best. It's only half-priced compared with Artbox but can reuse the another side of the page, so is even more affordable ahihi.

Some pictures will be put here when I'm not lazy uploading pics lol
