Positive Thoughts

A girl with some dreams.

Like most people I've never heard of her or her products. I found out her supplement line from TymeTheInfamous on youtube on her Breast Implant Illness documentary. What made me look into Dr.Jess is the Thyroid Master product claiming to help with hypo/hyperthyroidism.

I purchased the Thyroid Master and Immunity Master knowing that it was probably mainly vitamin C. What I didn't know is that the Immunity Master has a blend of probiotics in it. I've been taking both for a few days now and I can tell the difference! The blend of probiotics do help my stomach and I know immediately when I forget to take it. The Thyroid Master is going to be a staple for me this year. Since I never went through further testing for my thyroid the only thing I knew was that it was enlarged. Since taking this supplement I feel a difference.

I'm obsessed with her products and have been trying to get my hands on the microbiome master and colon master. The colon master has no laxatives! (According to the site.) Maybe after this month I'll try getting those and do a review on them.

The only place people have left reviews of her products are on her website. No youtube reviews or instagram raves. She does post photos from people who tag her into her instagram story.

For those who don't live on the east coast, Porter and Chester, Stone Academy and Lincoln Tech are all technical/vocational schools where you learn a trade and get certified. It's a good option for many people who want to get a job quickly in a field. The issue with these schools is that they have a bad review/rep/grade on the BBB website, the tuition is extremely high, and the reviews are either 1 or 5 stars with little to no comments.

My dental journey didn't work out for me so I decided to go back to PCI and enroll myself in the LPN program for the 2nd time. (I'll explain everything soon.)

The first time I enrolled myself for the same program I just graduated high school. Didn't have a credit/debit card, no job, and neither of my parents wanted to help me. The LPN program was $36k and that was why I didn't start when I did. Also community colleges at the time didn't have the LPN program.

The 2nd time around I filled out all this paperwork, was ready for my interview, but wasn't aware I had to pay a $25 fee for the badge. The person working with me literally told me, “Well that's too bad. You would have been a great candidate.” Not those exact words but along those lines. So far I had to make 2 or 3 visits before orientation. Every time I stepped into the building I have to pay a fee and it's kind of annoying feeling like they're hunting you down. I'm not surprised that it's happening for a “for profit” school.

Orientation continues and the professors explain everything especially attendance. The reason why they're strict on attendance is because you have to meet a certain amount of hours to sit for your board exam. You have 2,520 minutes class time ans 2,520 minutes for clinicals. Any clinical times you miss you are at risk to not be able to sit for your boards. Any class time missed you risk not graduating and being asked to leave the program. It's completely understandable and reasonable. There's no time to make up anything. Whatever you miss, that's it.

The LPN program is 21 months at PCI and I chose the evening class. I was told by classmates that if you chose the morning class you graduate 5 months earlier but it's harder. When I was given the option to choose between the two I was told that it didn't matter. The program was still 21 months and tuition is the same. So I chose the evening class making it easier for me to work during the day.

Since the school is not BBB accredited it must be a scam right? Normally I would agree but no. The school and community colleges have different accreditations. Meaning if you go to a trade school you can't transfer into a bridge RN program because the level of the classes are not the same. You would have to start all over. Even though it's a trade school the important thing is if you can still sit and take the same board exam as other LPN programs. With PCI you can and they have a 100% NCLEX passing rate. (From what I've been told.)

With that being said you have the option of going to any community college or location for this program. Many places have this for 10 months and is $8k. A very good deal but it's hard. I chose PCI because they had all my information from the first time I enrolled. Total my tuition is $34,524 and you can take a loan out. With the loan you have 10 years to pay it back. That's something to keep in mind.

The reason why it's high is because the books, hw, tests/quizzes are all downloaded onto an ipad that you take everywhere with you.

Just wanted to make a quick post. I hope that everyone bas a great Christmas and New Years or whatever you celebrate. (Don't get offended lol.)

I wanted to get excited about the new year so I came up with 2 resolutions: 1) Get back to doing what I love. 2) Be positive, succeed, and keep positive thoughts! No negativity allowed!

2018 was not a great year for me mentally. I was feeling drained and depressed majority of it. I felt I have lost myself along the way. I realized I didn't recognize myself and don't even know who I am anymore. 2019 I'm going to change that by doing what I've always wanted to do. I'm going to do my best to put my insecurities and fears aside doing what I love.

No matter what I know I'm going to succeed and make my dreams a reality.

If you haven't heard of this book it is amazing! I've only read the first couple chapters and I'm hooked. Originally this book is featured on Wattpad with 200 million reads.... 200....million!

It's literally a phenomenon. I'm not sure how it all happened but the book has literally been translated in 6 different languages. The girl who wrote a review that's printed on the book, Anna Todd, is a well known author within the wattpad community. Her story, “After” is actually coming out in theaters this coming April! I'm excited for both of them especially Chasing Red, which I hope the author gets a movie contract soon.

When I found this book at my local Barnes and Noble I was excited to get the last copy. One day I hope one of my stories will get the same recognition as this book.

Forgot to mention Chasing Red is romance book about this guy named Caleb falling in love with Veronica, AKA Red, after one encounter at a club. You can read it for free on wattpad or check out your local B&N to read it.

It took a few days to find an editor. I've been looking on Fivver and the prices are ridiculous! It makes me wonder for other self published authors who they hire because the gigs I see on Fivver doesn't really help. If you're writing a young adult novel it's usually about 200-300 pages or more. The gigs on Fivver are literally, “$150 editing/proofreading 10,000 words” Then I try to contact some people I wouldn't get a response at all and I'm not sure why. My book isn't even that long.

My book is an erotica/romance with almost 30,000 words which equates to 87 pages using normal font style and size. I'm in the process of working with an editor right now and the service was almost $160. I've always dreamed of becoming an author so to me that's a small price to pay. I'm definitely going to try to format the book myself. Also my cover is being worked on. I'm very excited to see everything coming together! I think I would cry the day I have the physical copy of my book in my hand.

Until then it's a dream in progress. If you'd like to read my story here's the link: wattpad.com/lauradunauthor

The story is “My Roommate”

Character names! There is no diversity in these stories! It's always Samantha, Olivia, Jennifer, Sophie/Sophia, Isabella/Bella, Camila for the main girls.

Even when I'm reading stories on the Episode app. Characters that have unique names on the app are usually so weird you can't pronounce the name.

I wanted to share my recent encounter from OKCupid. I'm not bashing the site because it's the people who are on it that gives you the experience not the algorithm.

Anyway I made myself clear on my profile that I wasn't looking for friends with benefits, no relationship, no hook up, and ONLY wanted to hang out with people as FRIENDS. I ended up hanging out with someone that seemed cool. We went over what we wanted. The guy said he was looking for all the above if it worked out. I told him I only wanted to be friends and nothing more. He also told me his birthday was coming up.

Feeling like a friend would I got him a cake that said Happy birthday and got him chocolate strawberries for him and his family to enjoy. I specially told him that even though he made some moves on me and every time I said no. We had indian food, which was great, watched some AHS and chilled. He could tell I wasn't into anything physical like cuddling or place his hand on me. It was nice he asked if he could before doing so.

The show goes on and we talk. He's confused by what I meant when I said I wanted to have fun on my profile. I explained giving examples such as hanging out, going to movies, eating dinner or something simple. Basically I wanted a friend's company and nothing more.

I thought he understood when I felt I explained myself clearly. Today he continues to text me asking me what I was looking for. Giving the same damn explanation as yesterday. Like why can't men take a no? This is why women feel harassed or concerned for their life because men can't take rejection without freaking out.

When a man rejects a women she doesn't bother him again unless she's insane. A lot of men continue reaching out pushing women after they have said no. Maybe in their mind men thinks if they keep asking enough times they will say yes. No means no.

I'm so excited to share something I've learned about Wattpad. I use to think I was a horrible writer because I saw a plethera of stories on the website with spelling errors, improper grammar, and run-on sentences. It's what you'd expect from a teenager. The site users range from all ages.

I learned that my issue wasn't my writing, it was about the exposure! There is a writing community within wattpad but you'd have to start interacting with people. Forget the Read 4 reads unless you're starting out and English isn't your first language. The real key is the Vote 4 votes and Follow 4 follows.

The more people vote on your stories the easier the exposure. When you follow someone and they follow back, their followers see which story they voted/commented on. Then your story gets in the recommended list. How I got more people to read is by having a large amount of votes on one of my stories consistantly. I've had the story since January but wasn't actively writing until now. I went from under 100 reads to about 7k reads within a matter of a few days!

What helps you is by commenting on people's profiles thanking them for the vote, follow, or reads. Your comment will be seen by everyone on their profile.

I'm so happy! It hasn't been that long and I've gotten 1.04k reads on my story and my rank was bumped up from #332 to #17 within the same day! Thank you so much and please continue to support my story called The Roommate by Aurora_daydreams.
