Seek the truth, rather than the knowledge

Take everything with a grain of salt. Knowledge is abundant, but the same cant be said about truth. Rather than taking in information as it is, we should seek to find the answers for ourselves and reach our own conclusions. Knowledge can be bent to serve a certain agenda or could have been passed down while losing its meaning over time.

Of course not all information can be verified on your own, as you may lack the required tools and capital to get going. In that case seeking the truth from different sources is the best course of action. While we are bombarded with too much conflicting information, digging deep enough will reveal the golden content. But to really find the truth, we have to strip ourselves of any kind of bias. Enter with an objective mindset without siding with information that benefits your current viewpoint. This might be very difficult at first, since changing your opinion usually comes with a lot of friction.

Rather than just getting the information you need (the destination), you should enjoy the journey of acquiring it. It will train your mental muscles and may lead you to a different conclusion. Although, if you think about it, you didn't really reach a conclusion if you were only aiming for the destination and simply just accepted it.
