Clint Eastwood Makes His 2020 Presidential Pick And It's A Shocker

Legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood keeps going strong at the tender old age of 89 and is still tougher than a two-dollar steak but his choice to win the presidency this year is a stunner.

As a conservative who identifies as libertarian, the screen icon divulged in a new Wall Street Journal interview that he isn't supportive of President Trump's reelection and is placing his hopes on a surprising choice.

sponsor According to Eastwood, Michael Bloomberg is the man who in his opinion, best suited to take America forward.

Not that he hates Trump but like others of his generation, Eastwood has a problem with the POTUS's tweeting of mean things about his political adversaries and longs for a “more genteel” demeanor from the nation's leader.

In the wide-ranging interview that touched on the Hollywood legend's long career as well as his political views, he stated that “The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there.”

Seemingly undeterred by the withering reviews out of the former New York City mayor's first appearance at a Democratic debate, Clint Eastwood is expressing some early support for Michael Bloomberg for president.

Asked about his views on President Donald Trump and the current political scene in a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, The Mule actor and self-professed libertarian said “The politics has gotten so ornery.” While he said he agrees with “certain things that Trump’s done,” he added that he wished the president acted “in a more genteel way, without tweeting and calling people names. I would personally like for him to not bring himself to that level.”

He then told the reporter, “The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there.”

There are few Hollywood stars who the liberals hate more than Eastwood, they called him a fascist when he played police detective Harry Callahan and kicked the crap out of a psychotic hippie punk in the classic “Dirty Harry” and their ire reached a peak with the patriotic “American Sniper” which was based on the true story of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle who they curse to this day.

While Eastwood made his name with his acting in such iconic classics as “The Good The Bad And The Ugly,” “The Outlaw Josey Wales” and the Dirty Harry movies, he now largely plies his trade from behind the camera where his movies are often acclaimed but stiffed by the socialist Hollywood elitist snobs come Oscar time.

Eastwood supported Trump against Hillary Clinton in 2016 but he also backed Romney in 2012 and his prime time chats with an empty chair on the big night of the GOP convention in Tampa sucked the air out of Mitt's balloon.

In the interview, Eastwood talked about the box office failure of his latest film “Richard Jewell” which slammed the destruction of an innocent hero framed by the media and FBI as well as the #MeToo movement which has taken on the characteristics of a lynch mob.

Whether he will eventually endorse President Trump if the billionaire former mayor of New York City is knocked out of the race is unknown but it's hard to imagine Eastwood ever backing a naked communist like Bernie Sanders.
