Gusher of white privilege

The end an email discussion about New York stop-and-frisk:

I'd stop digging now. You've hit the gusher of white privilege. Your arguments are troubling on multiple levels.

So, what was the gusher of white privilege? It was the August 2013 decision of Judge Scheindlin that the New York City stop-and-frisk program was unconstitutional. My Portland Oregon cousin pointed out that, according to the ACLU, 56% of those stopped were black, but only 23% of New York City is black. Therefore the NYC police were clearly just being racist.

My partner's reply suggested that, by such logic, the NYC police must be even more sexist than racist as over 90% of those stopped are men. By that thinking, far more old people should be stopped and frisked, as well as women and Asians. The sad reality is that homicide is the primary cause of death among young black men – and the vast majority of their killers are other young black men.

And apparently, for some on the far left, including my own relatives, the simple statement of that reality is a certification that one is a white racist....
