Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is a renowned State University which was inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru in 1993, the then Prime Minister of India. It is the largest agricultural university in Punjab which comprises of 32 departments and three schools across four constituent colleges. Altogether, it offers 43 PG, 29 PhD and 11 UG programmes at Ludhiana and outstations.

Punjab Agricultural University has established eight Research Stations, 18 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and 14 Farmers' Advisory Service Centres (FASCs) under its wing. The Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile. In 2006, the College of Veterinary Science was upgraded to become Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University (GADVASU) at Ludhiana.

It has made notable contributions in increasing livestock and poultry production. Campus Of Punjab Agricultural University

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is in Ludhiana city (Punjab State) in northwest India, 316 km from New Delhi. It is well connected by road and rail with the national capital. Situated on the Ludhiana – Ferozepur Road, the university covers an area of 1,510 acres (6.1 km2) on its main campus and 4,615 acres (18.68 km2) at the regional research stations.

Modeled on the pattern of land grant colleges in the United States, the PAU performs the integrated functions of teaching, research and extension in agriculture, agricultural engineering, home science and allied disciplines.

The university has well-equipped laboratories, library and lecture rooms and elaborate farm facilities. Accommodation is available in the university hostels for single students. Married students, if accompanied by their family members, have to find accommodation outside the campus

Punjab Agricultural University Admission 2020

PAU Ludhiana is the oldest university in the field of Agricultural Education. It was established in 1962. It offers UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in different specializations. Application form can be filled online or can be obtained in person or by post.

PAU Ludhiana conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) followed by counselling to offer admission in B.Sc (Hons.) courses except for B.Sc (Architecture/ Fashion Designing).

Candidates have to appear in national level Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) to secure admission in B.Sc (Architecture) program.

For B.Sc in Fashion Designing, the candidates have to appear in Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by NID.

B.Tech and Integrated M.Sc admissions are also based on the score in CET except for B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering for which a valid score in JEE Main is mandatory.

For M.Tech, MBA, MCA (Regular+Lateral), MJMC and M.Sc courses, PAU conducts MET followed by an interview.

Ph.D. admission is based PAU Written Test and Interview. Although, ICAR qualified candidates are directly eligible for the interview round.
