- The #Brazil(ian) Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation (#MCTI) announced the launch of the Earth observation satellite #Amazônia1 on February 28. This is the first satellite fully designed, built, tested, and operated in Brazil. Two others, #Amazônia1B and #Amazônia2, should be launched later, and they will help monitor wildfires and the development of farming.
