Rise Above and Blossom
If you feel lost, disappointed, hesitant, or weak, return to yourself, to who you are, here and now and when you get there, you will discover yourself, like a lotus flower in full bloom, even in a muddy pond, beautiful and strong.

My header image, is a picture of my tattoo. I had written an article describing the importance of it, and you can find it here. I titled it “Another Tattoo? Well...it releases stress, AND it has meaning!” and here are the reasons why – I describe the meaning of the lotus flower. The meaning of the dragonflies. The meaning of having my girls' names under the lotus flower. And last but not least, the meaning of the semicolon symbol.
Oh, life is full of so many challenges which consists of different emotions and feelings. There are times when you are going to feel defeated with some things that you do in life, or some choices that you make. But at the end of the day, you must try to stay positive and push through those moments.
This past weekend, I had put away my phone from social media, and yes, writing an article. You see, my family comes first, and I will do anything for them. I needed that time away in order to focus...
Sometimes, yes, I feel like a horrible mom because I have to lay down some rules – and some real tough rules – especially since five teens in the house at the same time can get quite hectic! And then... I feel like I am in five different places all at once!
I know the feelings pass, and everything will be OKAY! But, just for any mom (or dad) who is reading this – know that we all go through times where we feel like we are not doing enough or, we are doing too much. The fact is, we all try to do the best we can. There is only so much we can do and only so much we can handle.
Even when we think we are not doing good enough, it doesn't mean we aren't. The little things in life – they really do count for something – let those little things confirm that you are doing the best you can!
Remember your reason WHY you are who you are, and do the things you do ... it doesn't matter what other people think or why they think it. And put the negative thoughts away so that you can enjoy the beautiful things around you. The beautiful people around you.
What matters is that you rise above the muddy water, and blossom into that beautiful flower. ❤️🙏
*A little extra ...*
Today, I played this song “The Sound of Silence” (original by Simon & Garfunkel) on repeat – over and over, over and over.
It is a powerful song and beautifully sung in this duo performance by Disturbed lead singer – David Draiman, and Myles Kennedy. Have a listen, the timpani will literally blow you away, along with David Draiman's Baritone voice and Myles Kennedy's [](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myles_Kennedy) Harmonic voice. Just absolutely amazing. This song takes me away every time and helps me to calm down every time!! Music truly does heal the soul when needed in stressful moments ...
