the end of a day, the start of another

4 AM. No sleep was had. Just caffeine. I have a therapy session in 8 or so hours, but I will sleep before then, I think. Been tooling about on the WWW this eve, and finding lots of neat stuff in the process. I often do not think of what people did before the Internet, because I lived it + RE-lived it for weeks at a time back in 2015/16/17. 2017 was the last time I stayed offline for a prolonged period of time, and I got significantly bored. As long as the Internet is used in a “good” way, there is nothing wrong with it. But when I COMPULSIVELY use it 24/7, that is when problems start. Time can either stop or go forward for me on the Internet – I prefer it to go forward.

But yea, the Internet man – weird.

I notice that I essentially visit the same three Websites all the time on the Internet: r.w.a, Feedly, and YouTube. And that is basically it! Kind of like how I spent so much time on the (slow-moving) forums to correspond with other fans of Motley Crue back in 2008 and prior. It was like, either do a blog post on my gossip blog, or maybe some image searches or go to, and that was all the Internet had to offer to me back in those years. The dot com bubble 1.0 had popped, and it was still years to go before dot com bubble 2.0 arrived, and social media was def not a “thing” for me (or basically anyone I knew) before 2008, so it was everyone on their own on the WWW. Most people (as I recall) didn't even bother. Now, with socials gone for me, and on the decline for many others, I see myself going in the direction of backwards as far as HOW I use the Web. I always felt like having a FB or/and Twitter acct (or MySpace back in the day) was sort of “cheating”, and that people could/should have their own little nook/cranny/“niche” online. Suffice it to say, I want to carve my own path, make my own presence, say my own things and have it be heard by those who actually give a fuck. Not blasted out to the entire universe and ignored by it.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a nice morning, and I will be back later.
