Glossary: "Sofreh-ye Haft-Sin"
The Haft-Sin, or “Seven S’s”, are a Nowruz tradition where seven symbolic items, all of which start with the letter “S” in Farsi, are arranged ceremonially alongside various other ephemera. “Sofreh”, or tablecloth, refers to what they’re set on.
