Yes, it was hot.

12June2021

Yesterday at Noon I joined with several Brother Knights, our spouses, and some others from our Parish as we participated in the Block Rosary Project. Together we recited the Rosary and shared some meditations as we sat under a shady tree in front of the Parish Rectory. (Thank God for that shade and a light breeze!)

Afterwards we ventured out into the sun and posed for some pictures. And yes, that's me in the picture above, second Knight from the right wearing tan coveralls, holding up my end of the big banner.

I seldom post about it these days because my life away from the Internet is becoming WAY busier post-pandemic, but I still play chess every day. A lot of chess, every day.

A few days ago I won this game with the White pieces by trapping the Black King in what may be the first-ever-for-me pawn-pawn-King checkmate. As you can see in the graphic posted above, my 69. f7 was the kill shot, but every possible escape move by the Black King was covered by my e pawn or my White King.
