INTRODUCTION (#100DaysToOffload Post_1)

Who are you? Hi, I go by the name RookieLinux in Fosstodon, I am normal internet user, except a bit curious when it comes to technology.

I am a huge fan of old Thinkpad hardware (x220, x230,t60), their sturdy, robust and utilitarian design is really awesome, but, the recent ones are not so cool yet are much better than vast majority of laptop hardware in the market.

I am always looking for cool hardware that respect the users privacy and actually give them what they want instead of restricting users. Like, Purism, system76 hardware are awesome but are pricey however there is also the Libre-booted x and t series old Thinkpad's which I adore.

I actively try different distribution of GNU/Linux (recently watched a video of Richard Stallman, so, trying to use “GNU/Linux” instead of “Linux”). I have mostly tried Debian based distributions so far, but, would love to try other distributions as well.

Why #100DaysToOffload? I joined Fosstodon a week ago and this community is wonderful, the users are very friendly and feels like a tight-knitted community and that is where I found out about #100DaysToOffload challenge where people can write about anything and I saw the post where they say all you have to do is to write 100 posts in 365 days even if it meant the article was small and not well structured.

Why am I writing? I wanted to write journal for so long and that got me thinking that this could be a very interesting opportunity. I read somewhere that our writing can show lot about how we think, and also by writing something, the writer can understand the thing much better as he can see the things clearly.

Writing a lot means I have to read a lot, this can be really helpful because of my newfound interest online privacy. Which means I can write about things I read which will help me understand the things even more.

What am I going to write about? I am going to write about things that are interesting to me which may include from tech to spirituality

I'll try to write 100 posts in the next 365 days.

I am a bit confused but I'll try to figure it out on the way to avoid Paralysis by analysis.
