Splish, splash, splosh!

Tonight my baby daughter worked out she could slap her hands against the surface of the water in the bath and make big, noisy splashes. What fun! What mess! Water all over the floor! I was going to post about something else but the simple joy of this eclipses other topics and is sending her tired parents to bed with smiles on our faces. We did manage to film a little of it on The Canadian's phone so it'll be a memory we can keep revisiting.

She didn't take to bathing at first but as she got bigger and could sit up by herself, playing with bath toys and books, the bath became a happier place for her. If she keeps splashing though, we will have to move her from her own little plastic tub that sits in the kitchen sink to the bath proper. It had to happen eventually!

All is quiet now with the babe asleep. A wee, responsibly-sized dram of The Chita single grain Japanese whisky for me to round out the weekend and then I'll follow too!
