Which version of NinjaTrader should I use?
Apex tools require NinjaTrader 8. There are currently two branches: 8.0 and 8.1.
8.0.x.x features the interface that is demonstrated in the installation videos in Sniper Bootcamp and does not require a login on the app. This version will match what you see in the videos. Find a download for this version here. The drawback is, you will not be able to use the free two-week live data trial. For live data you will have to use one of the alternative data options mentioned at C12.) How do I get live market data. Also, if you wish to fund your own brokerage account and do not already have a NinjaTrader license, you will not be able to use this version.
8.1.x.x offers a different interface and ties into an online account at NinjaTrader.com. This version will allow you to use the free two-week live data trial, as described here.
If you do not wish to fund your own brokerage account, you can use either version.
