A limerick is merely five lines built with an A-A-B-B-A rhyme so see if you can make a Daily Create - then share your ideas, online

An eraser mark, where the story starts — just before it falls apart

Remember: the way forward always twists and turns yet never returns to the same place, twice

Keep your feet moving and follow the thin thread that keeps you sane: You're not alone

There's love for you, always, in this home

Each ADVENTURE like this starts COLD, like stars dangling on metal wires in a PLANETARIUM, fixed before motion, and UNDISTURBED, until the moment a curious hand sets the story forward, CROSSING-THE-RIVER in a raft of WONDERFUL imagination; Where the ROADS lead, no one knows, but pull the THREAD, anyway — the unknown awaits

Last night, after a day of nearly constant rain — and much-needed, I should add — I was walking our dog, Rayna, and noticed she had stopped at the edge of a puddle on the street. To my eyes, she was looking at herself, but I suspect it was more that something moved on the surface of water, catching her attention. We stood for a few seconds — she, and I, and this rippling mirror on the street, all reflecting back on each other — and then we moved on. This morning, I noticed the puddle was already gone, taking our past day's reflections with it.

Whose mirrored image do you see on the wet street, after a day's rain?

adrift like words looking for loose attachment — Todd C

Consumed forever by a fluther of thoughts pulsing the page, just dandelion tufts adrift on a current of ocean

waiting for a bloom of words to take shape, sentenced coalescing on a story's sound, still aground on the edge of paper

something's unstuck, an ink like an octopus alarm, a smuth of a story, transparently beautiful and coming together, it's many parts as one

This is the start of a poem the place where words can find home a rhyme, a rhythm, a bit of speed furious fingers find the words you need

Why am I all alone? A stranger in the sentence, unknown? It's because I am the pause in the thought before the words get lost

Each morning, as my brain kicks into gear, I wait for the Daily Create to appear I laugh in surprise at what awaits my eyes and then I make it — another day in the year
