Notes from the East Cliff

Note 1

In all the hysteria over twitter, I have found the Fediverse. I don't, and possibly never will, fully understand it; but right now, on day 2, it feels a little bit like the internet used to feel, like the 90s, anonymous like a high school sophomore.

I'm just testing this out for now. I've started a couple of blogs in the past few years, but haven't stuck with anything. This is excitingly straightforward and I don't feel the need to have a theme, etc.

A background: I'm originally from the Chicago suburbs, but moved to the UK in 2009. I now live on the Kent coast. I'm in the third year of a PhD on deep time and poetry of place (Anthropocene poetics, lyric theory, dark ecology). I write poems, and some of them have been published. I can see the sea from this window.
