I'd been told when I was very small by my maternal grandma that her mother (or grandmother?) had been born in a caravan. My grandma's house was covered in brass (I remember polishing it) and pictures of horses, and I remember not being allowed to use the word knackered around that side of the family, because it was as bad as swearing as far as they were concerned.

Look here, right. White women, we see you. We see that you lot want all this tact because you are fragile about who talks to you in what way, okay? Especially someone who you view as 'lesser than', and your disdain for the lesser is so transparent – whether they actually are lesser to you or not.
