After a year of coding and development, it was around the second week of May that we were feeling brave enough that gFam was ready for people to start posting on. We still haven't really launched to the world, instead we've just been telling some people about the project and watching as new people drop on by – resulting from whatever counts as word of mouth these days...
Coil doesn't have any metrics that we know of, so we thought we'd share some of the analytics that we do have access to.
Below is our daily user graph, showing a slight upwards trend...

The most users we've had in a single day was 62 on June 10th.. which was the day before Nickel's birthday, so clearly everyone was gearing up for the bigness!
We've had 265 different people visit gFam with the average time being spent on the site just over 7 minutes. That's pretty incredible.. we're glad people are enjoying their time with our global family.
gFam is Coil-enabled... and so of those 265 users that are Coil Subscribers, gFam has raised 60.7 XRP so far!

Every single XRP that gFam raises goes straight back into the community as tips...
This is a graph of our active users...

The 1 day line is the exact same as our daily user graph, and the 7 day and 30 day graphs are trending upwards. This means that gFam is generally finding more users as time goes on...
The most popular page apart from the home page was Peter Ray Hicks' first post where he also enabled tipping, with 11 comments and 17 page views...

The graph below shows the makeup of devices that use the site... no real surprises there...

The channels analytics was a little more surprising...

We're surprised that anyone found gFam with an organic search. This where you type in gFam into Google and then get to the site. We just looked now and we're the very last record on the 3rd page... someone was tenacious...
We think Direct is people clicking on the links in these Coil posts.
Social is 100% Twitter which is also 0% surprise there. We haven't expanded to other social media yet because we haven't actually launched yet.
Referral is where we have sent the link to people and asked them to test something for us.
The data below shows that 70% of our visitors are new, and 30% are returning visitors... hopefully we find a way to grow the returning users... hopefully we're not getting too boring...

Thanks for reading this post... we totally understand that it's probably not that interesting to people who aren't us... but we're excited to revisit these statistics in the coming months.
Please note that gFam does not retain any user data at all. All the stats above are anonymous, and the only data we retain on our users is their userid and the Xumm address. That's it.
Obviously we have nothing to on-sell to 3rd parties like the majority of social media platforms. Traditional social media platforms should pay you if they're making money off your data, or using your content to get views for their advertisers. Take back your data!
