Blues For Peace is the first Hungarians studio CD. All originals by Hairy Larry it was recorded in the fall of 2008 at the HairyLarryLand studio in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The rhythm tracks were all recorded as a band with vocals, harmonica and auxiliary percussion overdubbed. The guiding principal was to produce a vintage sound going back to the fifties when the bands would all play together and record to mono. Vintage microphones were used throughout the CD which was recorded and mixed on a Fostex VF-160 hard drive recorder. The songs were mastered in SAW Classic.
Hairy Larry and The Flying Hungarians is a family band featuring Hairy Larry and his children plus Randy Gambill, a close friend. We all mean it when we sing “Blues For Peace” and we hope and pray that this small statement has some effect.
“Hip Sexagenarians” is the first Hairy Larry and George CD. It is now available on Hairy Larry Rocks Funkwhale.
I just posted “The Gift” at Hairy Larry Rocks Funkwhale.
Just in time for Christmas.

DIY Photo Booth
This is my favorite DIY video. Megan and I worked on it together which is kind of special. I did a real good job posing for the camera. And we use this setup all the time. I keep it in a couple of tubs and carry extra photo paper and ink cartridges so the kids using the photo booth won’t be disappointed.
Here's the post on Hairy Larry Rocks. https://wordpress.hairylarry.rocks/?p=126

And we're back!
Hairy Larry Rocks was down for a day because I messed a bunch of stuff up. Anyway I learned a lot doing the reinstall so maybe we will be rock solid now. Or maybe not. That's why they call it testing.
If you see anything that's broke let me know.

Hairy Larry Rocks
The site has been up for a few days now. I'm still adding links to the Live Music Archive page. Next on the agenda is to update the HairyLarryLand page. And, of course, I continue adding songs to Funkwhale and videos to Peertube.
Yesterday I added “Jazztette”, a documentary I produced when Ron Horton was director of Jazz Studies at ASU.
Check it out.
Hairy Larry Rocks has been an interesting project so far. I was inspired by Yunohost to set up another webserver, one that used open source applications and took advantage of decentralized storage, AKA the fediverse.
Since I already had a server for MixRemix and Delta Boogie I had to learn about setting up a reverse proxy. That was a lot harder than setting up the Yunohost Server.
I have installed Wordpress to be my content management system, Funkwhale for audio recordings, Peertube for videos, Shaarli for links, and Write Freely for this. Typing out some quick notes.
