Good evening, Fediverse! I've returned with more tales of misadventure from my just OK, ever so slightly melodramatic life.

As I've been bitching about the past few posts, my old laptop died a watery death and I'd been using a Chromebook. My new laptop arrived today, so the torture can finally end.

A little on my new laptop. I bought a used Latitude 5840 from Walmart refurbished, overall, not a bad deal. 8GBs of ram and 256GB of NVME, Intel 630 Graphics and an Intel i5 processor. It came with Windows 11, I ditched that for Fedora 37. The install was ever so slightly annoying, it didn't like being installed in UEFI tho, which is fine.

I was finally able to flash the resource's file to my pinetime and get access to the new watchfaces, I really like the Casio G7710 face. I used watchmate to flash the resource file.

I've been using the PineBuds Pro, audio quality is overall pretty good, tho the control scheme and the fit bug me a bit. They feel strange in my ears, I might flash one of the few alternate firmwares for them to see if I can fix the aforementioned control scheme issue as well as possibly find a way to improve the audio quality.

I'll be officially getting my name changed on March 9th, The name I use on my accounts isn't yet my name, tho I don't see the use in mentioning my deadname here. Once that's done I'll be getting ordained thru Universal Life Church.

An update on the Alt. religions group I've been going to as well. I'm really glad to have found them when I did, It's nice to have community. I even met a few fellow computer geeks! Even saw a Flipper Zero in the wild!
