This day is rather rough to do some coding. I am getting rather lazy today. I only managed to code for about 30 minutes before giving up. I will still continue on with the challenge until I reach day 100.
Here is the list of coding challenges I finished:
1. Adjust the Tone of a Color
2. Create a Gradual CSS Linear Gradient
3. Use a CSS Linear Gradient to Create a Striped Element
4. Create Texture by Adding a Subtle Pattern as a Background Image
5. Use the CSS Transform scale Property to Change the Size of an Element
I seem to be losing motivation for this challenge. But I will still do my best to follow the rules of the challenge.
Another one of coding is done. I am about half-way through the amount of coding challenges that I had solved. Before resetting my progress in FreeCodeCamp, I think I solved about 168 coding challenges. The time that I have spent on coding stretches a couple weeks and maybe even several months. I didn't have a clear goal of coding before. So, there could be days that I coded for several hours, and there are also days when I just solved one coding challenge.
Putting that aside, here is the list of coding challenged I finished:
1. Adjust the Hover State of an Anchor Tag
2. Change an Element's Relative Position
3. Move a Relatively Positioned Element with CSS Offsets
4. Lock an Element to its Parent with Absolute Positioning
Passed
5. Lock an Element to the Browser Window with Fixed Positioning
6. Push Elements Left or Right with the float Property
7. Change the Position of Overlapping Elements with the z-index Property
8. Center an Element Horizontally Using the margin Property
9. Learn about Complementary Colors
10. Learn about Tertiary Colors
11. Adjust the Color of Various Elements to Complementary Colors
12. Adjust the Hue of a Color
Today was a little easier to code for about one hour. I went be with my old way of time management that makes easier to focus on my task. I managed to focus more on solving coding challenges. After about 45 minutes of solving code challenges, I went on to research more about Write.as.
I also finished the “Basic CSS” section of the FreeCodeCamp Curriculum. Slowly but surely, I am getting through this curriculum.
Anyways, here is the list of coding challenges I finished:
1. Improve Compatibility with Browser Fallbacks
2. Cascading CSS variables
3. Change a variable for a specific area
4. Use a media query to change a variable

19. Set the font-weight for Multiple Heading Elements
20. Set the font-size of Paragraph Text
21. Set the line-height of Paragraphs
I took a little break from solving the coding challenges in the FreeCodeCamp curriculum. I instead read several articles from the “Developer News” section of the FreeCodeCamp website.
It was pretty hard to focus on the FreeCodeCamp after 30 minutes of solving code challenges. What I did was change the type of resource that I was learning from. I changed from the FreeCodeCamp curriculum to watching a YouTube from the FreeCodeCamp channel.
I gained some motivation and some determination to go back and solve some coding challenges in the FreeCodeCamp curriculum. I made some great progress in the one hour of learning some code.
Here is the list of coding challenges that I finished:
1. Inherit Styles from the Body Element
2. Prioritize One Style Over Another
3. Override Styles in Subsequent CSS
4. Override Class Declarations by Styling ID Attributes
5. Override Class Declarations with Inline Styles
6. Override All Other Styles by using Important

11. Use RGB to Mix Colors
12. Use CSS Variables to change several elements at once
13. Create a custom CSS Variable
14. Use a custom CSS Variable
15. Attach a Fallback value to a CSS Variable
I managed to solve 15 coding challenges compared to solving 6 coding challenges yesterday. It is some great progress.
I kind of gave up a bit on this day. Both my brain and body is exhausted from what I did in school. I was only able to code for about 28 minutes before just giving up.
Not sure if I am going to reset the challenge or continue on with it. Since this is the first time that I did it, I will let it go for this once. But, if ever that this happens again, I will just have to reset the challenge.
Anyway, here is the list of code challenges that I finished:
1. Add Different Margins to Each Side of an Element
2. Use Clockwise Notation to Specify the Padding of an Element
3. Use Clockwise Notation to Specify the Margin of an Element
4. Use Attribute Selectors to Style Elements
5. Understand Absolute versus Relative Units
Passed
6. Style the HTML Body Element
My brain is exhausted. I am getting pretty sleepy as I write this post. I am starting to realize that I am coding mostly during at night. I am pretty I should be relaxing and preparing for sleeping. But here I am, absorbing some coding information.
I was losing focus from time to time during the one hour of coding that I just did. Maybe I just need better quality sleep consistently. Yeah, maybe that's it.
I also finished the “Basic HTML and HTML5” section of the Responsive Web Design Certification in the FreeCodeCamp curriculum. It feels pretty great to finish it.
I am currently at the “Basic CSS” section of the certification.
Anyway, here is a list of coding challenges that I finished:
1. Define the Head and Body of an HTML Document
2. Change the Color of Text
3. Use CSS Selectors to Style Elements
4. Use a CSS Class to Style an Element
5. Style Multiple Elements with a CSS Class
6. Change the Font Size of an Element

17. Adjust the Padding of an Element
18. Adjust the Margin of an Element
19. Add a Negative Margin to an Element
20. Add Different Padding to Each Side of an Element
This is going to be the phrase that will describe my journey into coding, again. It is currently 9:19 PM as I write this blog post. And my head is kind of aching from all the information that I had absorbed.
Anyways, I am glad to be back with a plan. This time, I will be doing the 100 days of code challenge. This means that I have to code for the minimum of one hour a day for the next 100 days. This will be one hell of a journey.
For this 100 days of code, I will be learning the FreeCodeCamp curriculum. It has about six certificates and each certificate takes about 300 hours. It also includes coding interview prep challenges.
Here is a list of code challenges that I had finished:
1. Say Hello to HTML Elements
2. Headline with the h2 Element
3. Inform with the Paragraph Element

I must say, this is one long list of the code challenges that I finished. This is pretty good for the first day of the 100 days of code challenge.
