Around forty-five days ago when Kev suggested the #100DaysToOffload, I was hesitant to get involved. I had a blog, and I'd written in the past. I'd even written and not received the virtual “boos” from aroun the Internet like I expected, but there was one thing that I was not sure of.

When the Brave browser was first released four years ago, I gave it a try. It was OK, but not something I'd use on a regular basis. I quickly went back to my old browser. Now, there are other reasons I don't use Brave.

Forty-one days ago, I started the #100DaysToOffload challenge. Kev made the challenge, and I had serious doubts I was going to complete it. I'm not one hundred percent confident now, and I'm forty-one days in. There has been one thing about it that I didn't expect.

A recent artcile by Joey Sneddon on omg! ubuntu! detailed a new product coming out called the NexDock Touch. I love this idea, but I've seen it before, and the implementation never quite lives up.

Everybody has their way of working on their desktop. Personally, I use plank to add a panel down at the bottom. Pretty much everything I use is there.

My kids have gotten off school for the summer, which means the time they used to spend doing homework they are now spending playing video games and watching videos. They've got summer stuff starting next week, but for now they're gaming it up. They're wanting me to play with them, but sometimes their choices of games leave more than a little to be desired.

My wife was trolling the Internet a few nights ago, and she ran across a list of possible blogging topics. One of the topics on the list was something about your favorite retro device. I don't remember the exact wording, and I kind of wrote it off at the time. I think I was already writing something about #Mycroft, but it reminded me of a device I had a long time ago that I felt (at least then) was way ahead of it's time.

Anybody who follows this blog know what I write about #Mycroft and #AI quite a bit. It’s something I have a lot of interest in, and I thought it might be a good idea to explain why as best I can.
In yesterday’s post about Mycroft’s newest core release, I said, “I can't wait to spend more time with this release.” Neil Darlow jokingly replied, “You can't wait to spend more time with an AI. I know the real world is pretty screwed-up at the moment but... this? 🤣. I know Neil was joking, but there are some very real reasons I’m interested in AI.
