“Essays” By: œlearian

is going to be the name of the collection of essays I am putting together in a book. Several stories will be taken from “Littered Thoughts” (Rejecting Notifications, Newer Systems, and the short fiction 'Metro'). I will start the book off with “Rewilding For Repentance”. I will have more essays to add later. I am going w/ the pen name “olearian” (w/ the spelling you see above) because I wanted a semi-anonymous publishing of these works. Nothing to tie it to me, necessarily. If anyone asked if I wrote it, I would say “yes”, and my last name is oleary, so, makes sense. If anything the o/e combo (the name of the symbol i cannot remember) will capture some people's attention. I also always liked playing with the spelling of names (for some reason). I will (for sure) make this a print book and not even bother to release it online. I have some of these texts online already, but I will be pulling them down once this book is in print. So download “Littered Thoughts” while you can! LOL! As of now, I just have to write some more longform. I just need a topic, and I can fill in the rest. I do not know what these topics will be. I will think of them.

Dope salad

Dope in a tasty way + dope tastING as well because my neighbors are outside puffing up a storm. Not a bad thing necessarily.

Now i am rehydrating and thinking of what to do with the night/morning.

I have been on YouTube all day, so i don't really wanna cruise it anymore.

idk

got some good ones

The Menzingers, Stiff Little Fingers, Johnny Cash, Gordon Lightfoot, etc. Some serious jams. It's 12:01 AM July 9. New day, indeed.

working on my classics playlist

which i am going to rename, i think

i am also listening to Turnstile (great punk band from 2018)

great band

listening to a lot of different stuff tonight....

Now listening to a Spotify-selected punk playlist. It hits all the right bands but I prefer a personally curated playlist. I am trying to find bands I have not heard of before, and will simply not happen with a Spotify playlist. I do digging every now and again to find recommendations elsewhere on the Internet, but I just want to listen for right now.

Next step in life...

...buy REAL coffee. This instant Maxwell House java is just too...not good, to keep drinking. I will have another cup (or two) tonight, and it has plenty of caffeine in it, but there is nothing healthy about this coffee. GOOD coffee is almost a superfood. That is why I need some fresh grounds from the store the next time I go (probably Tuesday).

Hello

10:29 PM. Had coffee. Not tired. Feel good.

Just remembered that I had to add a bluetooth keyboard to my Amazon cart because this Anker is giving me a good deal of trouble. It works the majority of the time but there are a lot of double keystrokes + double key presses at various times + i cannot see the letter on some of the keys. I added a rechargable, backlit, Arctec (i think is the name?) keyboard to the cart and that little bad boy looks nice! Only $20. Good deal. I am going to try to keep the Amazon cart under $100 this go 'round. I am buying shoes which is the priciest purchase but must be done because my Asics kill my back, Chucks are beaten to shit. Besides a case (w/ built-in stand) for this Tab A, nothing else will be purchased. I don't think about money a lot (because I prefer to not torture myself), but these are just some quick necessities that improve my life a great deal physically + “professionally” (if writing can even be considered a profession).

Correction: 5 stories

I just remembered one i had on another corner of the internet. I am also having some nice instant coffee (that tastes horrible, but is still nice).

Doing book stuff....

Collections

There ya go. That is the name of the next book i am going to publish. It has three (actually four) stories for it ready to go! :) I am looking forward to getting it all condensed and edited, etc. but there is still more to be written.

good times

Everyone writes these days

That was some of the fun about bbeing a “somewhat lone” blogger in the early-2000s: not many people bothered to write on the Internet. If it wasn't some shit MySpace status update, or a FB status update, or a Twitter status update, they just didn't care about writing. Most people still cannot write longform. That is certainly the most difficult type of writing, imo. 500-1,000 words is a good jaunt, but something I do at least once a day. I could be writing a book about a particular subject, but then I wouldn't be having much fun. I am much better off just writing a bunch of longforms about different subjects and publishing them all together as a sort of “mini-essay” book. A lot like Littered Thoughts.

Anyway, more people should write. Longform.
