revisiting AWKIF

which is one of the best albums of all time. i am referring to Paramore's “All We Know Is Falling” which more or less cemented them as one of the best emo bands of all time, and if not, actually spawned the genre, itself, to begin with. Everything about this album is gold. They have changed a lot since 2006, but that is probably a good thing. I am not a huge fan of “After Laughter” but some of the songs on there are incredible. As far as the Self-Titled era, that album holds a very, Very, VERY special place in my heart as it more or less reflected a lot of what i was going through at that point in my life (2013-2015). Epic. (Yea, Brand New Eyes & Riot are good, too).

Anyway, really enjoying AWKIF tonight.

still no word from the foot doc for my dad

he is going to be in the hospital until at least Thursday (we think) because even if the doctor came in tomorrow, it would be too short notice for him to be discharged, i am guessing. Nevertheless, he is in good spirits and things are chill.

i had a late dinner & am quite full & gonna cruise YT in a little bit here &....yeah.

i guess communicae (not really a word) should be kept under wraps when it comes to this writing busyness. Not so much the candidness i share on my blog or/and twitter acct, but other more professional matters should not be broadcast all over the internet for anyone to read. that was more or less an oversight on my part (but nothing too detailed was said, so, nbd).

anyway, i need to text the moms to see if dad is going home tomorrow. hope he is, & feels better :)

Monday. Feels like Friday.

At least i would think it was Friday by the amount of noise happening on the street outside my window. There are motorcycles that sound like they have 17 engines, beefed-up Dodge Chargers, and every other sort of loud motor vehicle you could imagine practically drag racing down my v short road. Luckily, the neighbors are not stomping around and blaring music this eve though. They will await for it to officially be Friday before that happens.

I have a busy week ahead of me. And i am hoping dad is out of the hospital either tomorrow or the next day. i am pretty sure they do not let patients go home on the same day they have dialysis, so he is still in there for today. he was p weak when i saw him yesterday so idk if he is even ready to go back to his house.

writing, but what about?

i am sort of inspired to get some GOOD writing done tonight, but i do not have a subject matter readily in mind. i have been watching “Study with Me” videos on YT (bc i'm a weirdo) so i could do a blog post about independent education and self-disciplined writing projects, but i am p sure i have written about these things at length many times before (& will again), so i am not going to go into that this evening.

the goal of the night, i think, will be writing another pitch to another publication for the 700+ word article i have about Silicon Valley, as well as wait to hear back (tonight?) from another pub about the short fiction i wrote (“Metro”). If the former (publication) asks for a re-draft or to extend the article, i can do so easily. “Metro” on the other hand, is more or less finished. It has already gone through about four or five drafts. It was much improved a couple months back.

So, pitch i shall do!
