Not a bad Friday, all things considered. This morning was productive, finally did a good sort and organize of paperwork and correspondence back in the home office. Then had good sports to follow through the afternoon: MLB Cactus League Spring Training Game early followed by a college baseball game late afternoon into early evening. Now tonight I've got a good college basketball playing over the radio.

Really cold (for us) weather keeps me indoors as much as possible today. Sports entertainment available to me includes a Cactus League MLB Spring Training Game in the early afternoon (Cubs vs Dodgers) and a college women's basketball game this evening (Ohio St. vs IU Hoosiers).

Another quiet day winds down. As we move through the pre-Lent Septuagesimatide Season I've added Light of the World: Daily Meditations on the Traditional Mass by Dom Benedict Baur to my daily prayer regimen. The meditations and prayers in this book are really quite good.

I started the day with 2 major chores ahead of me and had both of them completed by early afternoon. The rest of the day has been spent following news reports, keeping to my prayer regimen, working on my chess games, listening to relaxing music, and quietly reading. A peaceful day. Nice.

Glad that I was able to do my weekly laundry this morning. It's going to be bitterly cold starting tomorrow and through the rest of this week. And I do NOT even want to think about doing laundry in our unheated garage under those conditions.

I'm starting my Sports Sunday following preseason college softball, current game broadcast is TX A&M vs Charlotte playing in the Clearwater Invitational. After this game I'll be tuning in pre-race coverage ahead of this afternoon's running of NASCAR's Daytona 500.

Now reading An Almost Insurmountable Evil: How Obama's Deep State Defiled the Catholic Church and Executed the Wuhan Plandemic rather than the 3-book fantasy set I almost started. I've been consuming enough light fiction recently, and have decided it's time to tackle something more serious.

Have just finished a 6-book fantasy series that I've really enjoyed reading and am about to start a 3-book series by a new-to-me author. But it will be later tonight or tomorrow before I start the new books. My entertainment of choice tonight will be following a women's college basketball game, opening tip coming up shortly.
