Finally working through the day's chores. This morning through early afternoon moved slowly in the Roscoe-verse as I continued to recover from Saturday's march. Man, I'm getting too old to do that kind of thing.

This afternoon I'll be marching with a contingent of KofC Knights in a March for Life event in downtown San Antonio. Hope it doesn't rain on us. Hope the local communists don't don't throw any bricks at us. At least I'll be among friends.

My new service baldric was delivered today, but it's too small to use. I ordered the wrong size, darn it. So I've ordered the correct size now, and I'll be using my old baldric until the new one arrives.

Today will be a long one for me, with an evening meeting that will probably keep me away from home until 9:30 pm or so. And it begins a week of work that will kick off six busy months for me. [/sigh]
So,... I'll have to make it a top priority every day to rest, to carve out time to de-stress, to nap regularly, and to take days off when needed.

So a pretty productive day, this Monday. Did my weekly laundry, picked up leaves from the back yard to fill the big, green organics bin, and emptied Sylvia's front porch trash bucket, putting a new liner in it that fits properly. And I transferred funds to the Philippines, usually a Tuesday afternoon chore, that.

This Sunday opens quietly in the Roscoe-verse. Nasty sinuses, my age, and the current flu season have convinced me not to attend Mass today. It would be unwise to needlessly expose my self to a large gathering of people, many of whom are either heavily vaxxed or sick or both. I am not sick now, and I want to stay this way.
A quick word about yesterday. I stayed home all day, and so did my wife who required my attention much more than she usually does. And I never found a block of free time with the level of mental clarity and focus needed to “micro-blog” here. But all was well.

Friday the 13th winds down and thankfully, it didn't treat me too badly. I forgot to set my alarms last night (yes I use two set an hour apart – if I sleep through the first then surely the second will get me up) and I was sleeping soundly when Sylvia poked her head in my room and said, “Good morning.” Luckily, she woke herself up at the time I usually wake her up, then she woke me up. So I got more good sleep than is normal, which is a good thing, really.
